This song just touched me. I'm not sure why. I was 14 years old when it came out,and it struck a chord with me. I used to listen to the AM radio when I went to sleep , and left it on through the night -and this was the ONLY song that would wake me out of a dead sleep when I was sleeping. Strangest thing. I still don't know what it's trying to tell me, but I'm just as mesmerized by it today.

This is great...I've been in a Carly mood for 2 weeks now...and love it. Thinking of OMG...the years that I simply would blast her albums at our beach house, while as a kid... vacuuming each morning. :) I was 10 back in 70...and...and all these years later...still love her! ;) And she had a nice caretaker at one point...who hooked me up on that dry island and I'll forever be grateful! :) ha ha ha

I was 16 when this album came out--I rushed out to buy it for the bouncy Top 40 hit "Mockingbird," her duet with then-hubby James Taylor, and was stunned by this song. I listened to it over and over again, unsure what to make of it, it was so musically different from anything else out there. The percussion and strings at the end just blew me away. Still do, all these years later.
