@mermaidArianna while I have not experienced it personally, the actual procedure shouldn't hurt because you will be asleep through all of it. :) Afterwards, there may be some pain/soreness, but the surgeon can give you prescription to take care of that.

@mermaidArianna I had a breast reduction 1 year ago. I wated until I was 25 and at times, I wished I had done it sooner. Mines were a 38ii.................they are now a 38dd and I have never been happier. Now, the actual procedure doesnt hurt as you are knocked out and I have to be honest, I was on so many painkillers after the operation, I was not in alot of pain. C cup is the perfect cup, in all honesty.

I'm almost a G cup and they thing is, I'm not even fat. My band is 32, so I really have a hard time finding fitting clothes, bras and swimsuits. PLUS, swimming is my favorite sport! I only swim in my pool home because when I go camping, I'm too embarrassed to even show myself in a swimmin suit! 97% of the time, people speak to my breasts...not to me...

I understand you. My breasts started growing at the age of 7 and by the time I turned 12, I was already a C cup. It then grew one cup a year and now I'm 15 turning 16 this Sept. and I don't even know what size I am, because I can't find a bra. I'm getting a reduction in a day to a C cup.

Usually, breast stop growing around 3 years after you've had your periods for the first time. =) So if you had them at twelve like me, you'll be able to get a reduction in two years from now. =)

No, you don't have to wait until you're 18... =) If your breasts don't grow anymore, there's no reason why you shouldn't get a reduction.

Plus, getting a reduction at our age is better, because 1) We heal faster. 2) We're not working for a living (only for pocket money) so we don't have to worry about that.

And it is better to do it before college. If you're not sure whether your breasts have stop growing or not, wait a year and you'll see, then get the surgery. =)

I did it and it was the best thing for me....... try lugging around 2 bags of sugar on your chest for 30 odd years and then comment. Dents in your shoulders...thrush infections underneth your breasts and rude sneers from men who ogle at you are enough to make you want to do it. Get a good surgeon and get it done.....if you want to of course. All decisions are personal.....for me it was a success.

I think it's quite the opposite. I can tell by your comment that you are either a boy or a small chested girl.

You don't have any idea of what kind of pain it is when they're too big. I understand girls who have really small breasts, like AA, that they want to get breast augmentation, but you need to understand that breast are basically composed of breast tissue and FAT. Those two things are heavy and give a lot of pain to the neck, back and shoulders.

@dragonball4ever1 Not only backpain, but also skin irritiation (due to the wires digging below the breasts), not finding nice fitting clothes/bras/swimming suits and a LOT of unwanted attention. I know what I'm talking about, because I used to be a 34F.

I got a reduction 2 weeks ago and yes, I went through pain, but it doesn't even hurt anymore and I'm a 34B. Honestly, I can't even remember fitting in a B bra in my own life. The smallest size I got was a C...at 12 years old.

I have some feeling in one of my nipples but not in the other. I had a lot of problems with the other one and it didn't heal as well, so that's why I probably have no sensation.

Weird thing is, they are very sensitive to the touch but I don't feel a thing

my mum had her breasts reduced from a KKK to an E. her scars extend from her underame to her sternum. the nipple was replaced too high, about 2 inches and her breasts are now 2 cup sizes different. the moral of this story is make sure you have a good surgeon. good luck,

I had my surgery in 1982...the incisions back then were much larger and made horrible scars....plus, I lost all feeling in my chest for two years, until the nerve tissue grew back. Thank goodness for others that the surgery is better these days.
