I was caught out like this before when singing the song Ragdoll made famous by Art Garfunkel. The writer Steve Eaton wrote to me but never mentioned the lyrics were wrong but another listener did and I appreciate being corrected;) Merry Christmas my friend. Great job with the cover! The vocals sound a little behind the mix and pretty raw. Did you use a compressor? I was just looking for samples of vocals using the AKG C414, planning to get one for myself :-)

@danielolaf87 Hi Daniel, thanks for the support, is appreciated. As for your question, compression was used, but the threshold was set perhaps too high. This song was recorded in SONAR on a PC laptop, and the mic pre-amp used was an ART Tube MP, and then just recorded on the internal sound card. We have much better hardware now (Mac, Logic, Mackie Onyx Satellite). I do agree with you about it sounding a bit raw. Personally I think the C414 is a great mic! Def. Recommended! Cheers Billy! :-)
