Found some gold down creek around the bend, about a mile downstream, was checking out the lay of the land, and could tell there was cobble just under the surface when I walked through the area, cobble equals old streambed...
@dakotadigger1 the bedrock, humm, hard to say, could be 20 or 40 ft, hard to say, though there is exposed bedrock farther down the valley, probably hit water first though, more just a sample test shaft, checking out the amounts per yard as we go..
You done missed a bunch of the fun , and work, and it was a bit of work, but well worth it, glad folks are getting it, still warm enough to do some highbanking over there, was out in the Chilcotin on Sunday, getting mighty cold out that way..
Lot of reasonable hard work, closed it down for now, but still have some more video to go through from out at the claim, will be heading back out come spring to head down to 20 ft, unless we hit water, then we'll have to just call it a well...
This is a great series of videos. Thank you for showing how it's done. How deep will you go? Bedrock or a certain depth since it is a test shaft? Good luck. Nice color.

How far down do you think bedrock is? You are going to change your name to Badger there Eric! Great info for those who still hand dig, thanks.
