Man, I watch this and just feel a flood of emotions come at me. Its difficult to come across a movie you can watch for well over a decade and still adore, but that's precisely what this movie is for me. I first saw it when I was three and I still love it even as a twenty year old. For lack of a better word, its magical.
@Neuffey The Pixar animations aren't that bad and is still bringing out the child within all of us... In my opinion though, I spit at Disney for bringing up Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers...
@julzzville21 The second part of what you said is totally agreeable. But as for Pixar, it has reached it's limit. They should've stopped after Monsters Inc. WTF happened to making cartoons, which actually takes true talent and creativity instead of taking the easy way out by using computers. This right here is a prime example of how awesome Disney used to be for family entertainment. I mean shit they don't even have musicals in Pixar.
@poochy2479 They have absolutely no talent compared to old Disney movie cartoons. Hand drawn animation was the Disney's trademark, signature, and what truly made them special. Now besides Princess and the Frog, they haven't done any cartoon movies in 10 years! They've completely become Pixar only. Like the top comments say, Disney has betrayed everything they stood for.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a perfect example of somebody who is just too biased. Disney's other animated films are just fine. I'm fairly certain that the only reason anybody might dislike anything of Disney's is because of the Disney Channel and the types of things being shown to kids there.
I agree that the Lion King is definitely 90's. But the 2000's kids need to be exposed to good Disney movies like this! All they have right now is Hannah Montana and whatever crap came after it...it's sad...
Walt Disney: You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me look inside yourselves you are more then what you appear to be you must take your place as the greatest movie studio ever.

Walt Disney: Remember who you are you are my company and the one true kings of family entertainment remember who are...remember...remember...remember.
@marmik961 this is the best bloody comment i have ever seen..u r hilarious!! but dude....soooo true they are epic...they must all take us back to Pride Rock..
One of the best endings in my opinion. The whole build-up to Simba's roar and the roar itself, combined with the grand finale with "Circle of Life" still gives me goosebumps even though it has been more than a decade that I saw this movie.
the messages in this movie are so beautiful and all the characters(except Scar) are so charming and funny. Best Disney movie ever in my opinion. Taught the most about life.
Possibly the most epic, emotional ending scene that has ever been created in the cinema. Only movie which makes me cry at this exact point every single time I watch it.....such powerful stuff!! Music choice is perfection....LONG LIVE THE LION KING! GREATEST DISNEY MOVIE EVER CREATED!
@britainfan4lyf The death and pain that Scar had caused and with the skull washing in the rain, it symbolises an end to the death, pain and suffering. Leaving behind, the rock and ground, a new start for Simba to restore glory to the pridelands.
@CurvesRsexy08 umm what? i was born in 1998 so i guess im the "new generation" no one thinks its theirs but is it wrong to love a good movie? and having it in 3D is honestly not bad...
@CurvesRsexy08 Dear: 90s kids. I'm one of you. The Lion King is not "ours". I also grew up on Tom and Jerry, which was already 50 years old, as well as Star Wars, which was before my time as well. When you make a movie, it's nobody's to claim in particular. If new generations are as inspired by this movie and this moment in particular, then I say "thank God." I'd gladly share it, as it's not mine to share.
@CurvesRsexy08 I'm a 90's kid. This movie belongs to everyone as a piece of what Disney once was. I feel bad for the kids who are stuck with the crap on Disney Channel, and they have to go out and look for this movie on Blu-Ray/DVD in order to get a taste of what Disney used to be about. Simba is true Disney. Zack and Cody are not.
@CurvesRsexy08 and your complaining about this why? a member from "our generation" as you so stupid call it, is wise enough to share it with some who weren't lucky enough to have enjoyed this in the cinema. fuck the 3d, its a great initiative.
@p123970 Hell straight, its impossible not to relate with him due to how human he is, he suffered and secluded himself after experiencing the biggest betrayal, and for years tried to flee from the guilt of his indirect fault at everything that happened without ever being able to let it go, until his friends and the memories of his father gave him the courage to face the danger and fix everything once and for all. He thinks about how far he has come and finally is at peace with himself. Epicness
