So every time I see some interview with him I haven't seen before; It's like I'm really familiar with him already. Plus his sense of humour is near identical to mine. Like, he tells little stories and starts ranting a bit here and there, and tries to make people laugh ... So I instantly love him.

I don't think James is overshadowed. Rather, it's just that Leigh has such a big personality compared to James. It always kind of reminds me of the class clown and his quiet friend that giggles at all of his jokes. Don't get me wrong, they're both great guys, but Leigh is much more of a people person in my opinion.

the reason leigh is so much more popular than james is simply because leigh is best known for his work as an actor. He played axel is matrix reloaded and tenter the matrix and has acted in many films including Razor Eaters, One Perfect Day, Death Sentence, The Pardon Dying Breed, and appeared in aussie soaps like neighbors and blue heelers not to mention he plays adam in the saw films. hate to say it but james sooooo overshadowed!

Actually, I watched Whannell's reviews before I watched Saw, although it's true that that movie brought a lot of my attention to him. Furthermore, Wan's so ungrateful; I'd like to see him act any better than Whannell and the rest of the Saw cast. "Oh, they only did 30% of what I wanted." What a little bitcher.

He didn't have the money to do the movie the way he wanted, and to do more takes with the actors. Face it, the acting in the film isn't all that great.

James actually IS grateful, believe me, he is. Just as much as Leigh.

For starters these guys have been mates for a long long time and still are. Why would he be dissing his mate. He just isn't. James Wan isn't referring to Whannell at all but rather the studio process in which they had to rush filming. He's talking more about the artistic vision of the film as a whole and the limitations that had on his directing. Directing is a helluva lot more than just telling actors what to do. Considering.... I think it was very well put together.
