Flipping the end card like that aroused suspicion. I would argue that this type of turned over deck is best used to force a card by asking them to take some cards off the deck in your hand, they put those cards down while you turn the deck over at your side and take the top card "they cut to" then you guess what card they took with some dramatic guessing. Also the turn of the cards in your hand is obvious - you should do the motion as you are bringing the cards up during the motion.

This was one of the first tricks I learned... mind you with a different presentation, I would just turn it over when people were looking at the card, then turn erdnase color change the "top" card...

Anyways, this presentation SUCKS for this trick... hell, sankeys behind the back thing KICKS THE ASS of this one. Especially since you can see him awkwardly fiddle with the cards then turn them over.

I admit laypeople can be duped easily... but this is still crappy magic.
