But what do the voters see on their ballot? The names of candidates they know nothing about. Hiding behind the candidates names are the electors.
The electors are supposed to be locally-elected, as close to the community level as possible, and are given the charge of making good decisions for their constituents.
I hadn't thought about the intentional "aristocratic representative" republic until you mentioned it. I've thought alot about the electoral college, and the direct election of senators, but never really thought about it the way your framed it. It makes more sense now.

You couldn't expect people all the way off in South Carolina to be hip with what was going on in Washington, or why the Pennsylvanian voters felt one way or another. In my case, it's a violation of my dignity and rights and the machine gets my blood boiling. As well as the more that we put up with, the more of a police state we will become. Did you know you have more of a chance of being hit by a car crossing the street then being blown up in a airplane. More people die from pharmaceuticals that are FDA approved. etc.

What we want to have is an aristocratic representative republic. That's what the framers of the Constitution tried to build.
Though intense security scans might prevent bombings, they might not be worth it. Sometimes extreme rationality is not reasonable at all.

@jx14aby Well, there's not supposed to be direct elections, at least. Yes, technically there are still electors sent to the capitol for the frivolous ceremony of submitting votes. But what do the voters see on their ballot? The names of candidates they know nothing about. Hiding behind the candidates names are the electors.
The electors are supposed to be locally-elected, as close to the community level as possible, and are given the charge of making good decisions for their constituents.

You couldn't expect people all the way off in South Carolina to be hip with what was going on in Washington, or why the Pennsylvanian voters felt one way or another. They were too far away and mostly too busy working to survive. That's where the idea of sending the brightest local figure to government first originated.

1: War NEVER causes economic development, for winner or loser. There are no winners, just survivors.
2. One man can never know what is best to have for dinner, let alone a nation.
3. A person's worth is determined by a function of the love others have for them and the money they make. The relative weighting for these two metrics is up to the person in question.
4. I love the gays. Seriously, I'm all for gays, gay marriage, whatever. I don't want to get married, and SOMEONE has to.

The WW2 was also started, because the Nazis thought, that the mankind has to fight against each other to find out, who is the strongest. The idea of "survival of the fittest". There are quotations of Nazi leaders who say it publicly, that they support the idea of social darwinism. They justified all their eugenic killing program with their biological racist ideology.

Social darwinism is the idea of "survival of the fittest". This idea you can find in many Nazi programs. The eugenic euthanasia Action T4 and the ASR program. 200,000 physically or mentally handicapped people that were killed by medication, starvation, or in the gas chambers between 1939 and 1945.

Nazism, communism and social democracy are all governments. If you are for limited government you are against ALL those styles of government, for they are ALL governments where the power is centered at the highest levels. One who is completely against government is an anarchist. Libertarianism is the idea of limited government and human rights. Why do you think libertarians harp on all day about freedom of speech? it's a right, a freedom, and both the political left and right...

If you pull back government, you support private powers. 100% freedom doesn't exists. You alway have foreign power like big companies with their power of money or private military. You have just the option between democracy or anarchy and a choice between government and freedom doesn't exist. For many people democracy is more free.

For example when you will get a job. I don't say that all laws are right, but without gov you loose the chance to change a law. You can not change the law of the market.

Oh right, so by not being able to marry, your PROTECTING the gays from discrimination. Of course! It should be noted that I have never even heard of a gay person being discriminated against in the broader economy. Private employers don't care what you get up to in your own time (unlike the DHS) but only about the bottom line. So, if a person does a good job, who cares if she like girls??

So you always have the powers of the market or the law of survival of the fiffest in a anarchist society, because democracy doesn't exist in a anarchist or limited government society. If you want to have democracy, you just can reach it with government. What the Nazis did, was to take the brutal law of the nature to take it into a government dictatorship. Money which of course could go to feeding, housing and (seriously, can you guys ever get it right) getting health care to the people. This can be achieved through tax cuts or spending, whatever. You always will be discriminated, if you pull back government or not, then you get discriminated by the privates. There is no option between government or freedom, just between government or anarchy and between dictatorship or democracy.
Our anarchistic capitalist market system will lead to private dictatorships automatically (power of the money) when you pull back government, so the last option is government, which offers both, dictatorship or democracy.

The problem is you don't read my comments. I wrote the Nazi ideology based on the racist idea of antisemitism AND social darwinism. That you are a social darwinist doesn't means that you are against jews, but pro a unequal rights for different people based on "biological" ideas.

And social Darwinism simply means that stronger ideas/cultures will reproduce, like how democracy is reproducing RIGHT NOW. The TSA protects the freedom to live, in exchange for the freedom to choose who handles your balls. Simple. The Reasonoids simply ask the question "if we weren't having our junck caressed, would we REALLY be dying in a plane crash. R E A L L Y???" They suspect not. Also, I really do chop beef, for a living, and earn a very average blue-collar wage doing it. Australia isn't a free country, from gay marriage to weed to what kind of house you can live in.
