@glik8r85@aprluvr A humidifier makes the water content in the air go up to prevent drying of the wood and cracking. This is not so important with laminate Ukes and guitars, but for instruments made of solid wood it's a must.
For a guitar, I've been using a 35mm plasic canister with several holes put in it and with a regular household sponge packed in it and dampened. I usually put it in the case instead of the inside body of the guitar.

@jlaci yeh i live in the uk and it rains alot, keeping the moisture out is more of a problem i think :D

what i do at night i take a towel and soak it in water and hang it that's all you need to have a big humidifier
