I have now lived in japan for 23 years and have tried very hard to keep my terrible marriage together (I'm married to a japanese) in order to stay with my kids. The very sad yet truthful thing about all this is that the japanese just simply don't care about non-japanese. They are a very selfish and self-righteous people who view themselves as victims of the world so to justify their injustice. Our governments MUST put IMMENSE relentless pressure on the j-govt in order to get justice.

There is a loophole in the agreement which states something to the effect that the j-spouse can claim spousal abuse and that'll be good enough for the j-govt to harbor yet another j-abductor. As usual for japan. They continually fail to do the right thing.
