Reel of Tulloch was played by Piper Jimmy Richardson at the German wire under heavy machine gun fire at the Regina Trench Courcellette Somme Oct 8,1916. Winning the Victoria Cross.
@boxwoodgreen The piper Bill Millin played his pipes on sword beach normandy d day. He walked up and down the beach under heavy gun fire playing the highland laddie and the road to the isles. Such a heroic act, such bravery inspired the troops. Pipes will always have a place in the scottish regiments and commonwealth
Very nice. This tune was one of the tunes played by Piper Richardson in WW1 battle at Ancre Heights. Check out his story ont he internet as he was true war hero. My interest in his story is that my grandfather was killed at that same battle on the same day that Piper Richardson won his Victoria Cross for bravery, as he piped the Canadian Scottish troops onto the attack of the Regina trench.

I don;t think it really matter how long you've been playing or at what age you started...as they say,
Probieren geht über Studieren.
