I have always loved the looks of the Ascot and just before winter I bought one for my wife to ride. 48 horsepower liquid cooled V-twin, shaft drive, six gears with an overdrive indicator for sixth, very comfortable riding position with your feet directly below your hips. Smooth agile easy to ride fun bike!
I bought my Ascot new in '86, although it was an '84. I've had a ball on that thing, and still love it. I'd never seen the ad, but got a kick out of it!
The bike on the track is the CX500 based NS750 watercooler. Good bike, but was hampered by cooling problems that resulted in power loss about half way through a 25 lap main event.
No more of the Ascot commercials, but all the other commercials on my Youtube are from 1983, plus I have old videotapes that still need to be converted.

NICE ! that bike sounds fast - i have one - actually 2 of these as well - cept the one in the video is a 750 full race honda special build .
