Scamperwillow, I think April herself understood all along your comments were never intended to be negative. I had to weigh in because I understand how fragile other nontraditional athletes can be. Yes, I am glad she is becoming famous too. It is inspiring to know life does not end at 22 and we can always reach new goals. Blessings to you!
That is great! So it is April, not Andrea? I'm glad we are making her famous! And so sorry if it sounded negative, her bike just looked so unlikely, but I love that she did the whole thing and sounds like a great bike!
Thanks for video taping part of the race. Yes April did make it to the finish, she has a great bike. It is a trek Navigator with 21 speeds, and can go anywhere. Thank you to everyone for cheering us all on, it felt like we were in real race. Cant wait till next year.
Of course "that person" April finished. She and her bike looked great. The woman who made the comment should look so good! She really didn't know what she was talking about did she?
This is a piece of the GranFondo King Ridge ride out of Santa Rosa, CA led by the great Levi Leipheimer. 3500 bikes are participating, here are a few of them as they pass Sebastopol, CA in the early part of the long ride.
Neat-O ! ... Dug the tandem , the moose-call camaraderie / encouragement - The whole scene !

That's great - congratulations to Andrea!! And those strong legs!

Yes "she" had a number, and she definitely made it. It probably took more work to do it on that bike. Just remember: it's the legs, not the bike.
