  • Ha ha you lost. That makes you a loser.

  • Ha ha you lost. Yhat makes you a loser.

  • Simple, some want a Police State in Canada. We must fight it.

  • USA TRILLIONS OF TAX PAYERS DOLLARS TO FUND A WAR IN IRAQ THAT COSTS AMERICAN LIVES AND 500,000 IRAQIS BUT INCREASES REVENUES FOR TOP (PRIVATE) OIL COMPANIES.

but somehow that isn't evil or a waste of tax payers money.

  • This act and the Anti- Terrorism Act are two steps to a police state in Canada akin to that found in Britain.

  • the government spend 2billion dollors on thier own island and 100000pounds of pot and they got high

  • its called disarming the nation cause the leaders are crooks.

  • Anyone know when exactly the registry will be abolished?

  • hopefully sometime this year its already passed second reading i think, google it for more info.

  • @D33Lux eairlerest the fall session because it still has too go throw one more vote in the commons, than it has too start in the Senate than get royal assent can't wate till it is finally abolished

  • @gunnermac70 - You're a delusional suburbanite liberal blowing climate gate green house smoke out your ass. All NON-SENSE! I know college educated legal gun owners who have NEVER committed a heinous crime. In my own neighborhood I've seen the body of young guy gunned down shot 24 times by a gang style murder. That was 1 case out of many. What did the gun registry do, NOTHING! If the community was armed they could have arrested those criminals & possibly have prevented that murder!

  • Really? That's the best you can come up with? The fact is, gun ownership rates have nothing to do with crime. The UK banned handguns entirely in 1997 and are now the most violent county in Europe. Swizterland has one of the highest gun ownership rates in the world, but their gun/violent crime is almost non existant. "How can that be when guns cause crime?" Because they don't. There are more people stabbed to death in Canada than shot to death. Why don't we restrict knife ownership?

  • Or force every housewife to register her kitchen knives.

Long gun registry is a massive joke. A friend of mine has a percussion cap musket and he had to register it. EVEN IF IT IS STOLEN, WHO THE FUCK IS GOING TO COMMIT A CRIME WITH A FUCKING MUSKET?

  • @spiderpig85 fuck you never know in 2011 not to long ago a guy got shot in T.O with a crossbow.

  • @mrsuperterd Hey man, if you rob a bank with a musket, you deserve the money.

  • @spiderpig85 haha yea you do.

  • Since the long gun registry, crime has either continued declining from before the law, or has increased despite the law. If you really look into it, you'll see that it's a joke. A man named Brian Buckley sent in info on his Black & Decker Soldering Iron, and they registered it as a firearm!!! The people "keeping us safe" don't even know the difference between a soldering gun and a firearm!!!

FYI - Jamaica banned guns in 1973 and now they have the worlds highest murder rate. Weird, isn't it?

  • You still need a license to buy/own a gun. Licensing, which was never an issue, prevents mentally unstable people/criminals from legally buying guns/ammo, not the registry. The use of long guns in crime has been decreasing since the late 70's, now it's illegal handguns

170,000 cars were stolen in Canada in 2001. Compare that with 3600 guns lost/stolen. That's why car registries are there. 2700 people died in 2004 from car accidents compared to 190 fatal shootings. Cars are WAY more dangerous!

  • Hey gunnermac70, CanadaFireamrsAct is right - the gun registry is pointless. Criminals who want guns get them from the black market. As responsible gun owners we have to store them under lock and key as required by law, so they won't be accidentally or maliciously discharged. The point of this video is that we don't have the money to spend on frivolities, even if they are questionable, and the money is better spent in all the areas shown on the video. Well said, I agree with the video.

  • My uncle lives in Alberta, and he says that when an Asian gang member does a hit on a rival, he just goes into a restaurant where his target is enjoying a nice meal, walks right up to him and plugs him in the head point blank with an illegally acquired handgun, then he walks out and drives off before anyone has a chance to call the cops. Gee, I wonder how they can get those unregistered handguns in the first place? I mean, who would ever think that these guys wouldn't obey the law?! I wonder.

  • @themanfromwyoming Touche' Well said man. Criminals will always access guns. Tax paying citizens should have those same free rights. I think its Switzerland where every citizen gets a hand gun. One of the lowest crime rates in teh world!!! no gang members gonna have the same confidence, when Joe Blow the waiter might have a fuckin Glok in his work locker. Its not even the fact that a gun would protect him, its the idea that once criminals know we are at a disadvantage, they take advantage.
