Just so as you know, Ilha das Flores nowadays is a redut for the super-rich, with a good plot of land by the river costing more than U$500,000 (only the land). Poorer inhabitants live by the road, but nothing like the poverty you see on this video. You can check on Google Earth, coordinates 29°59'27.71"S and 51°15'56.37"W. Rich houses to the South and poor houses to the East.
@EternalShockk Ilha Das Flores directly translates to Isle of Flowers. You're using the possessive. You don't call it America's United States, do you?
Well, it is indeed a great film, extremely shocking. I guess the question now is, what do we do about it? Aren't we contributing to the whole shit in this world when we just neglect everything that goes on and carry on with our lives as if they didn't exist? (I'm not judging anyone here, the question also goes to myself...)
You could check out The Zeitgeist Movement. We are a non-monetary global movement. We want to help educate people about the failures of our current system.
We need to change our values.
There is an alternative to this system and we all know it in our hearts.
Let's start working together, asking "Do we have the know-how and resources?" instead of "do we have the money?"
you can google Jacque Frescp, Peter Joseph and The Venus Project, there is a lot of important information.

Reminds me more of Jamie Uys than Monty Python. Regardless: brilliant.

Very interesting. I like it!
But was it made by the writers of Monty Python? It has that feel to it....

No, it was made by Jorge Furtado. A brasilian director.
