Your most solemn obligation is NOT to protect the American people, or the Telecom criminals.
Your most solemn obligation is, "...to preserve, protect and defend the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES."Furthermore, seven years into this, with nearly all of our civil liberties ripped away, I ask you one question.
WHERE ARE ALL THE TERRORIST YOU ARE PROTECTING US FROM?You have not produced even ONE!FUCK YOU, YOU CRIMINAL.I hope I live to see the day that you and your bunch are brought to justice.
Holland is the free-est country in the world. Hmmm, why aren't terrorists hating them for thier freedoms? Could it be that Holland isn't trying to take over the mid-east for oil?
"We all just lost a big part of the 4th amendment today. Our founding father's are rolling over in their graves right now."
We lost that over 50 years ago when the eavesdropping really started, when they began eavesdropping on organized crime. All this issue is about is whether or not to allow the ACLU to sue the phone companies.
I watched a big part of the Congressional debate. The ONLY thing they argued about was whether or not to allow lawsuits against the phone companies who complied. That was their only disagreement. ACLU fans were hoping to make some money. That's all this was about, period. None of them on either side were concerned about civil liberties against Americans. It was very clear that the only people who were (or will be) listened to would be terrorists in other Countries who call here (or anywhere).
Wow, that sounds just like the garbage george bush said. BTW that Case against the phone companies is to sue for disovery to find out if they are acting against the law, might want to do your own research before you start quoting our president word for word.
This is just another domino in the long line. Whoever our next president is will not defend our liberties either. I hope this guy ends up like LBJ and dies of a heart attack while reaching for the emergency phone.
I as American citizen do believe the government ability to catch terror suspect's trumps my right to privacy. I have done nothing wrong but to give up our freedoms as stupid ass bush is scaring you people to do is worse than that what any terrorist has every done in 400 years you are turning your backs on the bonds this country was founded on. I will not give up my freedom to be a little safer bush.
The terroist thing is a ploy to get you afrid so they can pass laws, So far they havent produced any terroist. Please do your research and dont believe everything you hear on TV.
I recommend those who have there lawsuits continue to bring forward all times there civil liberties are broken by this government, The wonderful part is we will ether vote this back or forcible remove it.
The relatively one-sided vote, 69-28, came only after a lengthy and heated debate that pitted privacy and civil liberties concerns against the desire to prevent terrorist attacks.
You have put the civil liberties of americians on hold, you are still spying with out warrnts upon americans if you where respecting americans rights to civil liberties you would not have given telcoms immunity
The Soviet-Republican Anti-American Party of spying on Americans, torturing Americans, murdering Americans, and stealing trillions of American taxpayer dollars. The Republican Party is the core of the Satanist undermining of America.
Snooping on everybody, the most solemn obligation of post-monopoly communications giants. Secret invasion of privacy with government blessing and exemption from accountability in perpetuity. Citizen, you are screwed.
