  • We must make with all haste to the Breastriary in Nippopolis!

  • I'm going to kill my self listening to this song, hopefully it will open a portal far away from all the shit world I'm in.

  • Aw, yeah. This MAKES my Friday night! Cheers, mate.

  • Love it, but needs more cowbell! \m/

  • finally some music a woman can sink her teeth into grrrr.....

  • These guys have Phil Lynott in their veins.

  • @sinbysin666 haha true true, sorta reminds me of their song chinatown

  • Sounds a lot like the early Judas Priest i must say.

  • gotta say they've gotten considerably less brutal since age of winters. still not bad though

  • Futuristic lyrics, old school sound. Ironic XD

Saw them in 08 opening for Metallica, seeing them again on the 21st opening for Kyuss, THE SWORD RULES!!!

  • Oh, shit, yeah! Rock my fucking head!

  • This is what the guys at NASA listen to when they score.

  • Sooo damn good to hear and to know that real music is still burnin' in the

    hearts of the next generation(s)!!!

The production line, formulaic, plaztic music that the industry throws up all

over society was beginning to scare me. Thank you 'The Sword' for being

one of the few that got through the system!

Keep the Faith and keep the Rock.

  • @Zigman2112 You might like Graveyard. Try Graveyard - Satan's Finest

  • Comment removed

  • @ElNick09 Kool jamm from Graveyard bro.

Give URIAH HEEP'z album ABOMINOG a try dude. x)

  • this is some solid music

  • I hate when people say rock is dead...bands like this prove its still alive and kicking, you just need to look for it

  • sounds a lot like old rock.

  • this album is like time warp to 70's.COOL as fuck!

  • @doctorbasslayer Well they sound like a bunch of dumbasses. It's music try and enjoy it and stop with the artsy detailed critiques , if BFMV is the next Metallica or Iron Maiden I am the next Michael Jordan. And I am neither black , athletic or 6'6.

  • @doctorbasslayer Nobody is going to be the next Metallica or Iron Maiden , just like there will never be another Lemmy. BFMV are good if you like emo screamo but , The Sword is more like Iron Maiden then BFMV. Don't know who made that comparison but they are dumb. Wish people would stop trying to compare bands to pioneers of the genre. These magazines are ridiculous with their comparisons at times and opinions. It's like they listen to FM hard rock and crossover metal only.

  • This is the best thing that happened in 2010

  • 1 person tried to learn this song on guitar but epicly failed =P

  • @xXTAITHEHEDGEHOGXx honestly this song would be easy as fuck to play...but fucking fun!!

  • @ThrashMetalify for sure dude

  • How in the hell do people who do not like this band even waste there time to leave a comment saying so...just f off and up yours!

  • I love this song. One of the best from the album imo. :) I havn't listened much to the sword before, but this album really blew me away and was definatley one of the best albums of last year (together with Black Country Communion, that shit was cool classic rock too!!)

  • im labeling these guys as CLASSIC ROCK 70s

  • oh hell, this sounds so much like it could be a Thin Lizzy song. I loved The Sword's first album and this is totally different, but anything that sounds like Thin Lizzy will always rule.

  • This is amazing. They resemble Thin Lizzy and Blue Oyster Cult. They combine stoner influence as well as metal. This is just incredible music. Fuck all you people that disagree!

  • @Sohoskyable Yeah I'd say like BOC, Sabbath, Nazareth, and Kyuss or Sleep.

  • @ 2:49 Is that a cowbell? I wonder if Bruce Dickenson knows about this?

  • @itsglen9646 I see what you did there.

  • check out my video for the sword - night city (chapter 3 ) official video 2011

  • @jeffmusprime DOUCHE!

  • Looks like I got the first Dislike!

  • @jeffimusprime :D It must be great being a giant asshole. Must pay great . . . wait

  • I got to see The Sword play live a few weeks ago

I just wish I knew how awesome they where then

seeing them play got me addicted to them

they are now my second favorite band (Iron Maiden being favorite)

  • My roommate here in college showed me "The Sword" and I've been hooked since late last year. I will def say that they will be around for a while. As long as they don't "Sellout" or get hoodwinked with all the corporate bullshit, they will stay unique and loved by us all.

  • This whole album is sexy

  • Nobody cares.

    Nobody cries.

If your scared or if you die.

    That's the way it goes.

    You Should Know.

  • this song fucking rocks

  • looooove this

  • turning back time...!!!!

  • fucking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I literally just discovered this band.......Amazing!

  • @ViceJam me too. last night. They are awesome!

  • WOW!

  • This song and Lawless Lands get me everytime. I love the rock direction that they went on this record.

  • i love these guys. recommend more of this style to me

  • @teamgod Anything by the band Sleep, and get Priestess's second album Prior to the Fire, it's a Stoner Rock must have.

  • @madchemist5926

I'll check 'em out, thanks man

  • @teamgod DARKEST ERA and ASG are two of the better bands in this style

  • @p00pinmahmouth Fuck yea I love ASG.

  • @p00pinmahmouth thank you now do not waste anyones time thinking you gave us a revelation and we should even care about what you think. If you don't like it why even comment? No go listen to those bands and I hope you don't get a DUI...

  • this is my favorite track off this album. i want to go driving. i want to go drinkin.throw out being P.C. i want to do both! very fast!!!!!!!!

  • This sounds like my kind of place

  • This is their best song they play. This is the best guitar playing, bass playing, drum beating, and vocal singing group of real rockers. Ever.

  • The sword is carrying head bangers into the next millineum.

  • holy fuvk

  • I GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL BABY!!!

  • WHY AM I NOT LIKING THIS!! I feel like this record is a letdown.. the vocal styles has changed and there not as heavy.. trying to get into it but i cant.

  • @Bathory1988 well, I am loving it. Love Bathory, too, by the way. :)

  • @Bathory1988 I agree , it took me awhile , but I like it but I think of it as a Band called warp riders ,,not the sword , seems like they listened to Pentagrams "first Daze Here" too much , but all in all a good Album ,

  • I think there is a new type of metal out now it combines the heavy riffs and unforgetable lyrics of the 70's with the speed and sickening solos from 80's thrash. I dont know what it should be called. I think it should be just called heavy

  • @xXNHMXx splooge metal, because it makes you splooge when u listen to it.

  • @nadman14 splooge metal it is listen to this band radio moscow and early man similar type of vocals

  • Ya! Black Sabbath 2010!

  • *rocks hard on his air guitar* IN THE CITY OF THE NIGHTSIDE!

  • this band makes me wet

  • Thin Lizzy with a side of Sabbath. Just what I ordered!

  • vocals sound so much clearer and i love there retroish sound totally under rated

  • "Nobody cares nobody cries, If your scared or if you die, that's the way it goes, you should know, IN THE PLACE CALLED THE NIGHTSIDE!!" J. D. has one bad ass voice.

  • The intro reminds me of Old-School Rock... I like the melody & the chorus especially. Really nice guitar at the bridge! Nice, nice Riffs!!! Damn good drumming as well! Really, this is a great band, great vocals, catchy & memorable!

  • This song reminds me of Thin Lizzys Suicide

  • @HateCrew350 true!!! specialy the chorus.....

  • Amazing guitar intro! Kinda old-style Rock-n-Roll, I dig it! I like the vocals, the lyrics and the guitar riffs at the bridge... Nice, nice guitar solo! I also really like the tempo-change in the last couple measures with the guitar solo, pretty sweet! Oh My he's good!!! What great band! Ya'll know I'm in love with the guitar, no need for a man when I have the guitar... LOL Great song!

  • I can't believe the fu@kin drummer quit....I was supposed to see them oct.13th....

  • @metalliman28716 yea i heard that and i looked it up on wiki but it was really vague about it. did the drummer quit after the release of this album? of before

  • @metalliman28716 dude me to...i found out the day before...i was like..WTF!!!! MAN!!! lol total bummer.

  • Awesome early 80's sound. My favorite era, much ignored as an influence in today's music. Well done guys.

  • Pelican used to be my favorite band. Not anymore.

  • sick song but what is with the change in vocal style!?!?!?! its getting to close to regular hard rock then just heavy metal. but its still cool.

  • @keaton121 yeah they aren't really a metal band anymore but that cool with me, cuz they're a kick-ass hard rock band

  • @wreetmaster lol they are still very much metal. If you don't think this is heavy metal you need a reality check

  • easily the best recrod yet form the Sword! Lawless Lands and this one are my favs so far!!!

  • this song fucking blows, i can't believe this is the same band . i am throughly disappointed with this whole record in general. whats with the giant vocals

  • Easily the catchiest song on the album. Upbeat with a good chorus. I love it.

  • Btw...

    Needs more cowbell:)

  • Reminds me of GNR - Night Train...

  • @kbo2m5 Exactly what I thought...

But I like this song better :D

  • @kbo2m5 I thought I was the only one that thought of Night Train every time I heard this song til now!

  • Love how this kinda sounds like Motorhead.

  • I still can't listen to them without messing with the EQ but the new album is awesome. They need a better sound engineer or something.

  • For once, some metal that sounds like metal should be. Not the gorecore pop scene of today. 70'80's are back bitches!

  • seriuosly i'm 37 year old musician from Austin metal scene, and i love everything these guys have done! even the vids they do are awesome. just wish they would come out here to where i live(Kerrville). As a musician I give the greayest respect and honor to you guys! keep it up bros!...HicksIII

  • I've loved these guys since I first heard them. I met JD at a show in Wichita in April of 08. It was right after Gods of The Earth came out. A real down to earth guy. These guys fucking deliver live. They're in my top 5 and I've seen my share of bands. The real deal. Metal as it should be.

  • Can anyone point me to lyrics til I can get the CD? Assuming the CD has lyrics..

  • The Orange amps sound so fucking good I'm seriously contemplating them over marshall

  • @poketfulashelz Dude orange beats the hell out of marshall

  • @poketfulashelz Seriously man Orange Amps are better than marshall if i had the money i would buy an Orange amp in a heart beat!

  • @theswordkicksass i dunno man, i love orange amps, but a JCM-800, dude i dunno, i think they are about the same

  • @Choji11 I dont think they used any Marshalls on the record. Only Orange and Diezel

Im a huge fan of the Marshall though, they would sound perfectly heavy for this band

  • The cover reminds of me of Heavy Metal: The movie.

  • After one listen through Tres Brujas I knew this album would rock some serious socks. This song melts my fucking face every time I listen to it, the riffs are awesome and the chorus is perfect.

    \m/ The fucking Sword.

  • Spectacular. Clutch + Black Sabbath. These boys understand what metal is and where it comes from. Death to the space invaders!

  • love this song, fucking rocks

  • This album slays. It's been on non stop repeat, and loving the homage to ZZ Top in Lawless Lands and the Thin Lizzy worship going on in this track.

  • the nightside is the back half of the planet thats not in sunlight ie. nightside and thats were shit goes down

  • @EthanAnderson1

Such a wicked concept for an album. Mos Eisley x 100

  • i heard Tres Brujas and i thought this album was gonna suck. But i actually like this album a lot and i'm planning to buy this.

  • It took a second listen before i realized how much i like this album, its like a really heavy thin lizzy album. thats a good thing in my opinion.

  • IN THE PLACE THEY CALL THE NIGHTSIDE!

  • @Nursesaids In the shadows where the killers and the pirates hide!

One of my favorite tracks off the album, such a 70's vibe.

  • @BlackeytheKing

    I agree.

  • @BlackeytheKing Stick around if you think you can survive

Now someone has to finish it.

My favorite off the new album. But I fucking love every one of them.
