  • goes to show you true artists can step away from their "style" and enter a different one. One of my favorite songs ever.

  • @bdbdthatsallfolks Absolutely one of my all time faves too! Phenomenal song, and I liked it before Michael Meyers.

  • the credits of this movie brought me here xDDDD!

  • " There's a light out there, in your light I stare" Smoking song writing, good arrangement and everything else just falls into place. Heard this on the radio way back in 95 bought the disk and still listen to it now.

  • Metal Hammer "Brutal Bunch", anyone?

  • The second break in this song is the best ever!

  • This is my dad :)

  • @xTheSimsJunkiex nice...

  • 1995??!!! Can`t believe it was that long ago. Great guitars .

  • This is shit .

  • watching Halloween 6 on Syfy right now, just heard this playing in a scene. havent heard the song in forever.

  • Damn I miss the 90's. Seeds is a good album start to finish. Very underrated band.

  • This music video would be better if it had scenes from Halloween 6.

  • I used to listen to Brother Kane all the time.............Brings back some great memories.

  • JESUS i've been looking for this song for years, and my stupid VZ Music ID couldn't pick it up. got lucky and some other poor soul had the same question, and it led me here. LOVE this song

  • I'm glad I grew up around Peoria,IL Brother Cane was always on the radio there. In fact I saw Brother Cane at the Madison Theater in Peoria. Those guys know how to rock. Not like the bull shit you here on the radio today. I wish the recording companies would bring music like this back, instead of the no talent ass clowns of today.

  • If it weren't for Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, I would've never found this awesome song!

  • @spacefreak09 haha that's where I found out about this awesome band and Song! Long Live Michael Myers!

  • @spacefreak09 OMG, same thing happened to me, lol. Love this song.

  • @aires8441 Since you like this song, check out 20/20 Faith and Kerosene by Brother Cane. These are rare trick-or-treats, lol!

  • @spacefreak09

I worked on that film. I had there cd before I did because I loved this song.

  • @irvinfx Cool! That must have been so much fun to work on Halloween 6. Personally, H6 is one of the better Halloweens.

  • @spacefreak09

Actually I spent a week on an a effect were Michael shoves a cell phone down the dj's throat. To begin with, the phone was huge ! I spent two days carving out and rigging the side of the mouth the camera wasn't going to see.Once I had that ready I got the jaw and body ready. On day 5,production called and said the effect had been scrapped.

  • @irvinfx That would've been awesome to see in the movie. They should not have scrapped it.

  • @spacefreak09

I agree ! After the fourth day of working on the effect.I had the mouth rigged to accommodate the cell phone and for the head to react to Michael's movements. None the less,It's probably the only Halloween film that really tried to explain the origins of Michael Myer's.

  • @irvinfx Yeah. H6 gave us some idea behind Michael's madness; whereas, the other films just show him wanting to get to Laurie or Jamie. Also, I think that H5 showed us a little bit of why Michael was mad...the guy with the black cape and boots.

  • Ricki does a radio show about racing and rock music. Temple of the Dog was pretty much pearl jam and soundgarden. Good stuff but never really a real band. New AiC album is not bad, few good songs, still miss Lane.

  • use a good song and year

  • Why were all the great hits of the 90's made by 1-hitters.

  • VEVO is the suxxor!

  • Best "un known" of the 90s

  • I remember having this song in about 1995 or something on a Metal Hammer compilation CD, I had it on repeat for like 3 months...fucking great!

  • cool song .......

  • what happened to them? I have this album, Seeds, if I'm not mistaken.

  • This song reminds me of Godsmacks song Voodoo. Still...I like it!

  • Michael Myers listened to this song! Nothing else to say! \o/

  • 1995

  • Doesnt Eddie Van Halen have/had a connection with this band?

  • @stucat06 No, he met Edward when Brother Cane opened for them during Van Halen's "Balance" tour. I worked for Damien's now ex-wife at the time, and heard horrible shit about how he was treated during those years by the music industry... for example, Van Halen made an average of $200G a night, while Brother Cane made something like $3,000... that, and to make their third album, Damien had to sign over his publishing rights so he could get an advance to keep the band together... yikes...

  • @johnjonestheman And... the label dropped them anyway a few months after their third album came out...

  • @johnjonestheman Thanks for the update my man. I think i read in a Mag. that Eddie was a really big fan of the band and gave them a break by touring with VH. Again thanks for the real poop.

  • This song is remembered more than the movie it was featured in (Halloween 6). IMO it is a great song but it doesn't suit a Halloween movie

  • This sounds exactly like Alice in Chain's Man in the Box.

  • @pedazocerda i heard this on one of the halloween movies at the end & i always thought the same thing! lol

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'm the man in the box...

  • new these guys before i saw Halloween 6 they rock Damon rocks

  • @stbreal `got no shame' in listening to this one either ?...lol... I know i don't. the last time i heard these guys was back on headbangers ball with got no shame. can't believe it's been that long.

  • One of my favorite songs! This guy sounds like Chris Cornell.

  • @yankeechic77

you know what's funny is that i truly thought that that was who sang this song for the longest time. i accidentally stumbled across this video and it blew my mind away that i was wrong for so many years.

  • Hey I know this song it was in Halloween 6

  • Man, I FN love this song!!!

The 90s rocked!!! Wish I experienced more of it.

  • @JermomeZele95 -- You're right about that, my friend! I have an extensive CD collection, and most of it is 70s and 90s. The 90s RULED for music.

  • michael myers is the

  • Dude awesome song.. from Halloween 6 YEAA :D

  • someday....I will headline Wrestlemania....and when I do...this will be my entrance music if they say I'm good enouggh to win, if they grant me that oppurtunity, I will be either the WWE Champion or the World Heavy Weight Champion...and The Fink will call my name...

  • Halloween: The curse of Michael myers

  • @toddbobbentley this is the reason i came on to youtube to listen to it :D

  • damon johnson is awesome no matter what

  • met these guys back in Iowa at a show in the 90's....all of them cool as hell. They are great live. I still got their cd's...awesome rock & roll

  • hey bockydo....hell yeah man. My email is lawrenceesampson@yahoo.com drop me a line

  • hey bockydo....hell yeah man. My email is lawrenceesampson@yahoo.com drop me a line

  • I ued to love these guys! anybody anywhere think they can find the video to Peace Pipe? Would love to see that one again. I gotta recover this album!

  • @TheNdnstud I have there cd , I will send you a copy if you want . We can do it over IM , it seems to be more reliable for that .

  • 50,000 people and rising slowly figuring it out theres more to the 90s than the big 4 (chains, pearl jam, soundgarden and nirvana) Fuck yea to yall who appreciate good music, good times and good people.

  • look its a delta rebel!!!!

  • Good Song but it does Not belong in the Halloween Series

  • Here in St.Louis they are played by KSHE.dig it.

  • I remember hearing this as a 13 year old in Florida and then moving back to Birmingham AL and seeing this movie they had done for the now defunct Bellsouth..something like, "please don't hack into your neighbors' dial-up or some goofy shit..I still think they kick ass tho...even though I'm hacking into my neighbor's wi-fi

  • A great video by a band that should have been promoted more than their record label did. It was the right sound at the right time! And still sounds great!

  • SO UNDERRATED. I love me some Brother Cane :)

  • @WhuttaNerd, Tell me about it! It is a shame that so few saw Brother Cane for the great talent they are.

  • @woody6975 I don't know if I've ever heard brother cane on the radio, and it's a damn shame! How can they not be super famous by now?

  • @WhuttaNerd ya they were on alot more in 96!

  • what ever happened to these guys?

  • @jaarmen3 The so-called "creative differences" crap. Roman Glick left so they all did but Damon is a music machine so he just went off and found another 'family' to rock with (THANK GOD!!) or actually Alice found him I do believe. I would love if they did get back together, I'd been one of the first in line to score a ticket!

  • Damon Johnson makes gold out of anything he writes or sings, he's amazing!

  • @aMUSEdRockrBabe7 Damon Johnson (the Singer) is Alice Cooper's guitar player and the bass player is playing with Jackyl

  • Yep...It definitely had alot of * airplay * in Texas back in 95-96...Good song !!!!

  • @nba5150 I could'nt agree with u more....music really took a nose dive shortly after this.....brings back many great memories!

  • whoa! Now this is a song i really had forgotten about that u couldnt escape back in 95-96

  • I thought these guys were great.

  • Great band. One of the best.

  • I heard this song for the first time in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. It's the most underrated movie of the franchise and that's a shame because it's really bad ass if you're a fan of horror movies.

  • I was fortunate to see Brother Cane, to stand on stage with them and meet them. Class act of gentlemen not to mention extremely talented muscians. Damon Johnson is an outstanding guitarist!

  • They're like soft Sound Garden. Somewhere in between Creed, Alice and Chains and SG. No offense. =)

  • I remember when Iw as about 15 Brother Cane was on the mark and brian show. I called and asked them about this video and what was going on in it. Their response was basically "It's artsy fartsy stuff, and we're not sure to be honest" Hahaha. Such a great band though. One of my favorite albums of all time.

  • I love the song and the band...but the video is a ?

  • such a big Brother Cane fan. Played them a ton on my radio show in college.

  • Bitchin song! Haven't heard this in years, thanks for posting.

  • Great song got me thru some tough times!

  • Wow, 0 people dislike this. Thats something to brag about. Awesome Band and Awesome Song.

  • One of the many talented bands of the 90s that was also so very underrated. These guys remind me of Second Coming and The Hunger and Hum

  • I don't just like this song.. I LOVE IT!!! And I'd never seen the video before!! He is cuuUUUuUUuUUte!!! Wish they would put this song on ROCK BAND or GUITAR HERO!

  • Excellent song...great rock ;)

  • wicked song!!!!

  • Roman with long hair! Go JACKYL! Also my license plate.

  • This is one of my favorite CD's!! Great band!!

  • What a great song by an underrated band.I always thought this video had clips of Halloween 6 in it though.

  • @WEINBAUER yeah i know halloween 6 made me lov this song :P

  • me too and i was born when it was made and i saw is recently. its a shame that their not maken new stuff... sucks. their good

  • @lagann37 Great song,bad movie.That happens alot I guess.

  • @lagann37 hehe thats where i heard it too :)

  • One of my favorite bands. They didn't get the recognition they deserved!!!!

  • Only 3 things were good about Halloween 6, Micheal Myers, Paul Rudd and this sweet ass song. P.S. 15 years already??????????

  • @daj3166 Actually 4 things. You left out Donald Pleasance's last acting performance before he died. You're right though, man did this movie suck.

  • @WEINBAUER My bad, he is half the reason that franchise was so successful for so long. Plus he had more lives than a cat in those movies it took acutal death to kill him.

  • @daj3166 How about that? You couldn't kill Michael Myers or Dr. Loomis.

  • kickass song, i finally noodled around into learning it on the guitar

  • This song will always bring Halloween back into my head.

  • @ViolentPTheSkarecrow That's how I fell in love with the song to! I'm like addicted to the Halloween movies and when I heard this I looked it up and I couldn't stop listening to it!!

  • I fell in love with this song and band after hearing this song in the movie "HalloweeN: The Curse Of Michael Myers". Some say what you will about that movie, but its classic, and what great taste in music by including this band's tune in it, not to mention it was the first HalloweeN movie I ever went to see in theaters since becoming a fan. Memories :)

  • @ViolentPTheSkarecrow totally agree with you! thats how I first heard the song too back when I was a kid lol

  • and so comes God . . fear no evil.

  • I saw them live in 1996 at the Varsity Theater in Baton Rouge, just off of LSU's campus. They were very good in concert, and I do feel they were relatively underrated.

  • love them, and knew them !!!

  • Totally under-rated band. And Damon Johnson still rocks on.

  • Wow I just discovered this song, and I love!!! Awesome song...

  • I named my son after the lead singer of Brother Cane. Damon. As in Damon Johnson. I heard he went on to play in Alice Cooper's band. What a great talent!

  • This song and Collective Soul's Where The river Flows were two really hard songs form the 1990's that no one knew about!

  • @TheYenni -- uh, both of those songs hit #1 on the Rock charts. I dare say you'd have to have been living under a rather large rock in the mid-90's to have not have heard either of them quite a lot.

  • @SoxPopuli I am a huge Brother Cane fan but the local radio station barley played their music during the 1990's they focused on crap music instead...

  • P.S. Remember the main riff of Man in the Box by Alice in Chains???????

  • One of the greatest songs of the nineties no one remembers???????????

  • So strong!

  • badass fucking song

  • love this song!

  • This group died way to soon! The opening guitar riffs weere excellent, this was one of my all-time favorites. My local CT rock station, played this, til the vinyl wore out!

  • good band but this was a crappy video....what the hell did the bald chick have to do with song....but hey...they filmed it a griffith observatory in LA.........nice...

  • @spiralmc

I agree totally. Video was awful. The setting was cool, as were clips of band, but you're right about the girl. wth?

  • @KingsBard not sure about the girl thing either, maybe one of the 'fools shine on' ?....lol...

  • Nice. I almost always picture Michael Meyers. hahaha

  • @gfarrell3 This shouldve had Michael in it since this was used for Halloween 6.

  • @starkiller20293 Or at least scenes from Halloween 6.

  • Saw Brother Cane live a number of times and they absolutely killed it every time. Really miss them.

  • Love this tune. This takes me back to my freshman year in high school! It reminds me so much of a more care-free time in my life.

  • My kind of men! Have loved these guys for years now...

  • I agree with Woody6975. Brother Cane had a lot of talent and put out some awesome music. Great band.

  • it was also used in the movie Hallowwen the curse of micheal myers

  • Amazing song! I first heard it from Hallowen 6. Its perfect for the ending of that movie!

  • I hate when it says 2007 Virgin Records America. This song came out in 1995 dammit!

  • @go311 That's because Virgin let the physical cd go out of print and re-released it digitally in 2007.

    Lame.. I know..

  • one of the worst songs of the nineties there first album was alright but the next two stunk

  • Genius. It is an anti-spell to the supernatural. I wish I could write like this.

  • For the longest time i thought this song was from collective soul, and i looked for it forever...thanks for the post up!

  • Took me a while,to find this video, but,it was worth it! Its just one of those songs heard on rock stations, that just came and went.Great guitar riffs!

  • I thought it was soundgarden when i first heard this song in 1994........The guy kind of sounds like chris cornell.....

  • I love Brother Cane's 1st cd from start to finish. This song and "Bread Maker" are the only two I liked from the 2nd. The 3rd....blah. Come on Brother Cane....come back with some good old Southern Rock!

  • This song is hard to find. I mean anyone could maybe download from there computer. But I was lucky one day about 10 years ago I was in a pawn shop that sold vhs movies and music cds and I saw a cd intitled Brother Cane. I knew who sang this song so I looked at the songs on it and there was the song And Fools shine on. I still have the cd till this day......A must have 4 any Halloween fan..

  • Sounds like Queensryche to me...I just started listening to these guys i love em!

  • I first heard this song in "Halloween: The Curse of Micheal Myers", and I loved it

  • Saw these guys in Panama City late 90s. Even met the singer. Cool guy and great band live.

  • Halloween 6

  • This song was very big when I was in middle school. I got instantly hooked on it each time it played on the radio. I know these guys could've gone more further beyond this song. Its a shame they didn't survive the 90's

  • The best chill and hangout song while you get high.

  • Great Song

  • One of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks for posting.

  • @shadowcastell Ya same here! This song and don't fear the reaper are my two all time favorite songs!

  • The best song in the Halloween series!

  • @wolfboy581 Yep.

  • @wolfboy581 right up until "Knights in White Satin" came along.

  • It's a crime so few saw Brother Cane for the real talent they are.

  • @woody6975 .....seen these guys many times in birmingham alabama ......always a great show !!!!!

  • @woody6975 I agree,Seeds kicked ass.

  • @woody6975 I put Seeds in for a coworker's kid today. He said "This is the kind of music kids at my school make fun of me for listening to. Are they going to be on tour near here?"

He didn't believe that the album was as old as him. Also, I told him "let them make fun of you for their poor musical taste."

  • @tybo09, That is outstanding! Thanks for sharing.

  • Man this song has a great groove.
