For the photographer who has everything: a new toy!
$300? Are they kidding? Can only be used on flat, smooth ground. Any ideas what else it can be used for besides taking video of motorcycles that are inside a building? Sorry, but that thing is a joke! I could put castors on my tripod and have a better tool.
I understand that there are a lot of well informed people out there, but I also get the impression that Mark is a really nice guy and not out to rip people off. It's a real shame he gets trolled so bad. Yeah, he is selling products. Yeah, his opinions may not be those of others. No, he is not Satan.
@CampFireFilmsInc Yes you can find the wheels on amazon for $200 but a guy there mentioned that you can only use them with small gorilla pods or something ...
@abhi86gupta if you adjust the angle of the legs, it will hold. The fact there is no friction on the points of contact lowers the top weight capacity slightly, that's all. Play with the angles and you can get it to hold a heavy rig too...
@BrotherBloat Precisely. The legs aren't so much the problem, but the wheels. The Gorillapod DSLR itself is rated for the weight, but it relies on the feet being able to grip whatever surface it's standing on. The wheels are literally helping it sag.
RIP OFF!!!!! $300 for that!! I'd only get it for that price if the camera came with it!

I love how mark always tells not only what he likes but what he dislikes also...really helpful

First time I had to dislike one of Mark's video!! I noticed the legs separate due to the camera weight.

Can the wheels be purchased separately? I already own a gorilla pod and don't want to
purchase a 2nd.

@CampFireFilmsInc I'm pretty sure he said $300, which makes it even worse!

@CampFireFilmsInc Exactly! It's such a waste to spend all that money on something you can DIY under $10, they're just 3 little wheels!

Why in the US is everything "awesome" big cameras and no issue ? well at 2:10-14 the pod is sinking..

from 2:11 - 2:14 , tripod legs got spread due to camera weight so it cant support heavy camera
