206 cams could run with superchips but its recommended you get an sct tune and an intake/exhaust. A 2008 manifold would be very useful since the stock mani falls flat on its face at 5200 while the cams + 08 mani are good for at least 5800rpm. I'd imagine you should be cranking ~330hp with 206 cams, sct tune, and 08 manifold.

Everyone that has used the 08 manifold says it is like night and day. Plus, with your sct tune you would be able to set the rev limiter at 6000 if you like (the mani is said to be good up to 5800 rpm although it does not fall flat on its face above 5800) With the 206 cams your peak power will probably be around 5600-5800 and it will run hard. Don't get discouraged if the tuning is a pain in the ass, because it always is. To make real power above 5200rpm, you need the 08 mani!

@2011FindTheTruth ....The 2008 intake manifold IS night and day difference. HO Cams are night and day difference. SCT Tuning ANY setup makes a night and day difference. Knowing what I know now, I would upgrade the valve springs on any 4.7 I was going to run over 6,000 though.

I got 7.1 sec by my stopwatch. Look up the09 ram test on Consumer Reports, and they say the 4.7 feels equal to the 5.3 chev and 5.4 ford for power, go figure.

I have a 02 quad cab 2wd 4.7, and it feels like it has more power than 235.

As for being a POS the SRT-4 comes factory with a completely forged bottom end and Mahle pistons. They can and have made over 500 HP on the stock internals for long periods of time. 130+ MPH traps and 600hp 500 TQ has been accomplished on the stock internals in the past, although is pushing it. Neither has been done with the 4.7. Hows that for a paperweight?

The SRT-4 is made in Belvidere Illinois with 84% US content. The Dodge Ram is made in Warren Michigan/Fenton Missouri/or Mexico with only 68% US content, the engine's country of origin is Mexico(5.7l). For comparison reasons the Ford Mustang is made with 65% US content and doesn't even qualify to use the term "Made in America." Hows that for an import?

yeah gas prices r gettin pretty rediculous, i used to own a 04 ford explorer sport trac 17 city 21 highway, nice truck great sound system, dodge gets the worst gas mileage out of any truck, chevy/gmc get the best gas mileage on v8, but im more of a ford guy, just sum how ended up with the 1500 =/ just make sure u get a truck that holds its value with good equity, f150 is probly the best at holdin its value on trucks, my dodge dont hold its value worth shit :(

yea chevys get GREAT gas mileage no matter what engine they have really... my riend has a v8 chevy and i used to own a v6 chevy and we got just about the same gas mileage, around 16-18mpg in the city! but yea, i just really love the way dodges look, and in my opinion they sound WAYYY better w/ aftermarket exhaust than any other truck
