There is a hadith in which the companions as rasool Allah (saw) that in a day like a year can they pray the salahs as they would or calculate it, and he replied you have to calculate it. Hence this means the day like a year will infact be like a year, so fajr maybe months away from duhr salah for example. Hence this notion of 1000 years being the one year is probably incorrect.

Its a page long hadith, i read it in mishkat al masabi, which is a collection of hadith from varies sources. so i cant quote it all but you can look it up, it was narrated by An Nawwas b. Sam'an in At Tirmidhi. " Allah's messenger was asked if one day's prayer would suffice them in that day which would be like a year and replied "No, you must make an estimate of its extent."
The imam is also incorrect about gog and magog, as these are among the major signs, and we all know they will come forth after prophet ISA, and gog and magog can not be released before the last of the minor signs which is imam mahdi.

There is a hadith in which the companions as rasool Allah (saw) that in a day like a year can they pray the salahs as they would or calculate it, and he replied you have to calculate it. Hence this means the day like a year will infact be like a year, so fajr maybe months away from duhr salah for example. Hence this notion of 1000 years being the one year is probably incorrect.

Its a page long hadith, i read it in mishkat al masabi, which is a collection of hadith from varies sources. so i cant quote it all but you can look it up, it was narrated by An Nawwas b. Sam'an in At Tirmidhi. " Allah's messenger was asked if one day's prayer would suffice them in that day which would be like a year and replied "No, you must make an estimate of its extent."

@IMnotSAS Gog and Magog will be released in waves, He identified it through the hadith that when the first of them will pass through the lake tiberias (Sea of Galilee), They would say that the river is full of water, And they would drink all of it. While the last of them would find it completely dry and say that once there used to be water here. The river has already gone past the unrecoverable level a long time ago and is waiting to just dry up with whatever is left.

@Redmissionary You obviously do not know about Judaism. The Prophets of the Children of Israel used to bow to the old Qibla which was the wailing wall. Jews to this day face it in prayer. Muslims do not use a Star or a Cresent just a symbol. Christianity has more paganism mixed in it then any other religion. Have you ever heard of Mithraism. Actually its very funny that a christian talks about a Muslim having pagan practices. Cause we don't the and the Christians do scholarly world admits this.
