  • Yes; I am in Japan, in Kanagawa prefecture, at the Kanagawa Fisheries Training Institute. Where are you? I really miss Kenyans and we need to meet soon bwana. Sayonaraa.

  • I am so ashamed of myself that I could only understand about 50% of this conversation, even our primary school teachers didn't know Kiswahili well to teach us. So the first time I learnt proper Swahili language is when I went to the city, What a shame. I remember calling plural of Mikate - Wakate (remember the M - Wa class?). Swahili must now be compulsory to all students in Kenya.

  • @JOmondi1 Don't be ashamed my brother. The only advise id to try and improve on the 50% you already have in Kiswahili. Personally I went to the most village school you can think of. All the way to class 8 all the subjects were instructed in the local language. But I have tried to acquire linguistic skills even to this day. Jifunze zaidi, na kwa hakika utaweza kuelewa na kunena vyema lugha yetu tukufu ya Kiswahili.

  • @mytime81 Thanks a lot my brother for the encouragement. Can I get the books at Amazon? I am so ashamed I WANT TO START STUDYING KISWAHILI A FRESH. More so I really would want my children to learn Kiswahili and I must try and teach them starting with those simple ones. I have also learnt that language is more of speaking it. When I was in Nairobi I was almost so fluent, nowadays I speak better Japanese than Kiswahili.

  • @JOmondi1 You are in Japan? So I'm I :) Where in Japan?
