  • Scrappy-Doo RULES.

    Fuck The Haters. =D

  • @KennethMoreland Anyone else think making Scrappy the villain fo the first live action movie was a cheap shot?

  • @spikeriley Yes

  • @spikeriley

I do, Scrappy was entirely out of character in that movie (except for the 'wanting to splat ghosts' bit in the flashback).

  • I hated how they did Scrappy in the movie. In fact, I didn't like the movie at all. Everyone was out of character except Shaggy, and I didn't care for the CGI Scooby either.

  • @BelieveIt1051

Yeah, but apart from Scrappy being the villain and most of the others being out of character it is a good movie. It's at least better than that new series crud.

The CGI was actually good, but I thought they made Scooby a little too realistic. I prefer the way he was portrayed in the movies with the gang in high school, he had some toon moments in those. Especially the recent one, he kept cracking me up in that one.

  • Well that's not saying much. The new series is complete garbage. Scooby has little screen time, Velma's a bitch in heat, Fred's even more of a gay idiot than ever (which I don't care about since I hate Fred anyway), Daphne's a moron who's obsessed with a gay idiot, the "mysteries" are shallow and basic, the relationship storyline is all wrong for the show, everyone but Shaggy acts out of character, Shaggy's voice is too high, the story doesn't make sense, and there's no Shaphne in it at all!

  • @BelieveIt1051 i agree all the old shows are the best

  • Right on Mikey! Vegas baby, Vegas!

  • @BelieveIt1051

That's cause Casey Kasem doesn't voice Shaggy, just Shaggy's dad. Lazy little.... Gee, ShaggyXDaphne, I haven't heard that subject since someone posted a comment on the first episode of "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo" on here. Not exactly a supporter of it myself, I'm more of a ShaggyXCrystal person.

  • I agree that the "Mystery Begins" Scooby is way better than the live action movie Scooby, but I think they should have used a puppet in the movie.

  • @BelieveIt1051

Uh, I'm not sure that would've looked right. It would've made it easier for the rest of the cast to interact with him but we wouldn't get those funny expressions and movements that we got from the high school CGI Scoob.

  • I don't know, they can do a lot with puppets these days. Plus, they could always add CGI to the puppet's facial expressions if they had to. I agree that the new live-action movies on CN should use the CGI dog though. It's much easier and less costly. I meant that the first live-action movies should have had a puppet Scooby instead of CGI.

  • @BelieveIt1051

They sort of did for the dancing scene in the second one. They had someone dress up in the body of Scooby and then added the head with CGI. This was to prevent anyone from bumping into Scooby.

  • @spikeriley Not only that but messed up! Just read my comment to see what I thought of it!

  • @spikeriley

i never really liked scrappy, so i was cool with it

  • @spikeriley The ULTIMATE!!!!

  • @KennethMoreland I know! I saw nothing wrong with Scrappy. Then the realistic Scooby Doo movie came out and not only got rid of him, but ruined his character! Also, it was completely messed up, especially since he was evil and even tried to kill his own UNCLE!!! Geez, Warner Bros., way to mess up a perfectly good character. -_- I still like Scrappy, and although I like the movie, I will never consider it an actual part of the Scooby Doo series.

  • @trcgamer94 I know how you feel. I think the movie is not canon to the cartoon.

  • @trcgamer94 That's the same exact way I feel too
