They do that all the time to make themselves seem bigger. Creationists do it too. It is a sign of ignorance and being backed into a corner where they have no valid argument.
Creationists tend to act like what they believe is what every Christian believes. The GOP is just doing the same thing, trying to act like more people agree, but the numbers prove that people want this bill.
We only have a free market because our democratic federal republic allows it and at the same time protects individual liberties. It's not perfect but it works pretty well, after all these years. No government = no liberties. Universal health care has been supported by Truman, Ike, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Clinton & Obama, GOP & Democrats. Like Social Security & Medicare? You'll like universal health care too.
Come to think of it, I am starting to question my replying to people who don't care about facts, logic or reason. By definition that is a fruitless waste of time.
If I argue with an idiot on the internet, win or lose, I lose, because I am arguing with an idiot on the internet.
I wonder if they would also like to get rid of our government run military. Or what about the public library where you have some government bureaucrat between you and your books. Or what about the socialist public option for people over 65? Or those damn socialist public schools. Those roads......
If only it could all be turned over to private companies who could then fix prices gouge consumers. lol
The WSJ once was a legitimate source of information but as it's now owned by News Corp and Rupert Murdoch it can't be taken seriously. It's a shame this MSNBC reporter didn't have the balls to call out this FOX news defense from this GOP Rep..
I would take you seriously if you provided any reason why I am wrong but you don't and so you obviously have no idea how the United States federal and state tax system works.
@Chslosers Yeah "lol". You should look up and learn about what socialism is. How is building roads not a redistribution of wealth? The income tax was just a way for the government to receive more revenue, that doesn't mean there were no taxes at all. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the United States Military, it's all socialist. Paid for by us! "Smarty" I think you owe everyone an apology.
Apologize? No.. the income tax brought government more rev sure but they increased the size of government and increased their budget along with it.. "smarty". I know what socialism is, economically and politically..
Your comment, sir, gives me hope for humanity... My comment got 5 thumbs down (as of now), people don't understand irony... That makes me want to rabble!!!
Or wait, it's Obama trying to silence my youtube-comment by giving it thumbs down. RABBLE!
Fox News gives both sides? When? Ok I will give you Shepard Smith, but that is about it. O'Reilly said it best, "the Conservative Media is going to destroy the Obama presidency"! Sounds "Fair and Balanced" to me. I do believe it was Fox News pundits, who called Bush dissenters un-American, un-Patriotic, treasonous, and traitors. NOW, dissenting against the government or Obama is Patriotic, Pro-American, and some protesters referred to as "Hero's". One of which said she "didn't care about 9/11".
Is irony really that hard to understand?! I wrote it clear as day, now I'm making myself as clear as possible! I WAS IRONIC, HENCE THE RABBLE!
But everyone knows that reality changes when you change President. During Bush, the reality was that to be a patriot you had to love the president, government, and never EVER protest. Then Obama "won", and reality changed. What was during Bush isn't reality anymore. That's why we have to protest, and rabble, rabble RABBLE!
Socialized heath care is great and the US is the only western world industrialized nation to not have it. Thanks to the fact that the insurance companies have both the republicans and democrats in their pocket, giving anyone on capitol hill piles of money for their re-election campaigns.
lol @ looking to the WSJ for unbiased perspective on this issue. the health care industry is publicly traded and health care reform would sacrifice corporate profits and shareholder value for human life. outrageous!
all the insurance companies have to do to kill the public option is provide more value per dollar. with conservative propaganda depicting every government program as inefficient, this should be no problem, right?
Wow. Murdock got what he always wanted: the illusion of a mainstream source, that he can use for his propaganda. Now Republicans can recite right-wing talking points there too with more credibility, and so can all the rest of the cable junk news.
OMG, thank you. WSJ is owned by News Corp. which we all know as the communications wing of the GOP. on top of that she's talking about a Op Ed, in said paper. She's a moron.
I really wonder how many of these pundits & neo-cons could actually define socialism. Then explain why they think it is bad.
"Socialism refers to various theories of economic organization advocating public or direct worker ownership & administration of the means of production & allocation of resources, & a society characterized by equal access to resources for all individuals with a method of compensation based on the amount of labor expended." from wiki
0:35 This is not just coming from teabaggers but from the right-wing editorial page of Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, who are the true voice of the people!
Isn't WSJ owned by the same guy that owns Fox? Does it really qualify as factual journalism?
As for what the brunette said, do the rules in sports depict the outcome of those sports? Because that is all that is happening is new rules being put into place in their playing field, and a new team added. A weak team that doesn't have good draft pick and now many people are trusting enough in to be a fan of. Who knows how this will turn out.
"As for what the brunette said, do the rules in sports depict the outcome of those sports?" Yes. That is why rules are created. It limits what can and can not be done, thus creating a finite sit of outcomes directly related to the rules/boundaries. If you need further evidence than play a game of basketball without rules and see if it doesn't have a direct effect on the outcome of the game.
So you are saying it depicts which team wins? The rules may depict what happens, but not which team wins, which the teams are the insurance companies.
You original comment lacked the clarification of your second comment. In your first comment you are arguing that rules do not effect the outcome of a game but in your second comment you are arguing that it doesn't effect the winner of the game.

They are military depends on the private sector for everything! ie, CONTRACTED suppliers and manufacturers
Library provided by tax dollars, (revenue)
Private schools beat out public schools! Where does the elite and BHO send his kids?
Roads are done by bidding. Gov't comes in after completion for management and of course toll collection.
TRY AGAIN!
USAPatriot1966 2 years ago
@USAPatriot1966
The military only depends on contractors for supplies because government can't own a business, they are still government controlled and tax funded.
Library: no shit, that was my point.
How public does vs private is not relevant to my point. It's just that it is provided.
Bidding by contractors is also not relevant. They are payed for by real estate taxes.
You try again. Your points don't have anything to do with mine.
