One of my favorite Tom Petty songs. Reminds me of high school, sitting on my friends roof at night, smoking cigarettes and talking. There's nothing like the desert skies in Tucson Arizona. I've lived in many states over the years, but I have never seen the stars so bright & clearly anywhere else.

U of A, 1980, I am in my dorm, I hear this guy singing. I walk over to the theater on campus. Tom and the Hrtbrs playing. I hear 'Refugee', 'American girl', just standing outside talking to the guard. Finally, a door opens, I go in and watch from the back. Tom says, "riding around campus, all the fine women, driver says, "ya can't touch 'em without cocaine" and he breaks into that song (you think you're gonna take her away) Tom sang POWERFUL. I became an instant fan.
