  • All the tools one needs to play this entire song in less than seven minutes... that was kewl. There will always be those who will want you to hold thier penis while they learn, zip them up and recieve a little pat on the bottom. Thank you for not...

  • You're a good at playing it, but you're not a very good teacher.

  • u didnt teach the solo u just played it

  • Comment removed

  • stop to talk and play!

  • you didn't tech you just showed off

  • nice man the only thing is, that its usually played with hammer ons and pull offs, no picking required

  • @RxExLxIxSxH Not really. Only reason why people think that is because of the music video, but even there you can hear that it's picked. But on live performances of AC/DC you can see Angus always playing it by picking the notes.

  • @Skilluh yea its funny you say that, because after i said that i tried it and realised i was wrong lol

  • yeah very good man! but uh can you explain the solo? :D

  • grazie rockybalboaforever non mi sei stato per niente d'aiuto !!

  • do you have the tabs to the solo posted some where on the internet?

  • it suppouse to be pulloffs.... not only picking in the begin.....

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeet

  • your a really good teacher

  • @commmonsense1 many thanks!!

  • MALCOM PART

  • its aksualy very simple just tap!

  • How can I get that AC/DC sound without buying a Gibson SG?

  • @1HOTTPLAYA it's all in the amp i use a les paul andi get the same

  • @1HOTTPLAYA get a normal guitar and buy angus young pickups easy! :D

  • watch?v=-RP9w5fGEkI

  • speak english

  • the intro is not picked at all... thats where he got things wrong....

  • @amkirkpatrick42134

you are wrong, watch the "Live at Donnington Thunderstruck" video here on youtube, at 0,49 you clearly can see, that Angus IS picking it.

Dont know why many people think its wrong to pick, just because of the Thunderstruck "Music-Video". Thats just a Music-Video mixed together with Studio Music, and not live playing.

  • @Usul75 at donnington it is but the studio version it isnt

  • @thevideogamerzz

There is also a video here on youtube where they slowed down the studio version of the intro, until you can clearly hear the "tschack" from the pick on every note. So it also must be picked.

And even Angus himself say that it is picked. Watch "Angus young guitar lesson"

He say "it started LIKE a one-handed, BUT it ends of like that..." and than he play the Intro, with picking. And who should know it better than him? ^^

  • @Usul75 yes but he also says that it was originally picked and it is true but the studio version isnt always the same as the mp3 file

  • @Usul75 & @thevideogamerzz go have your argument somewhere else

  • Great Less dude TNX

  • @MrAppolo777 thank you

  • chorus has a short "D" chord.

  • the way you moved your head when you played the intro fast is what what i do when im in the moment

  • Eh fratello , lo hai fatto molto bene. Mille grazie

  • @moyatakotka grazie a te fratello!

  • @rockybalboaforever are you itallin?

  • you look like that guy from half life game

  • BRAVO,TROPPO BRAVO

  • @boxer1168 troppo gentile!

  • Its a good lesson. But your rhythm part isnt good. You are right its a b-chord but malcolm strums it in another way :P

  • B A E

  • Ehehe, si sente che sei italiano... cmq bravo!

  • @mariofronta grazie ;)

  • you done very well mate.

    good work.

    Regards from Australia

  • @Graemekiss thank you bro best regards

  • oh would you just shut the fuck up hes playing it fine just give him a little credit

  • you play the intro wrong every freted ote you have to hammer off thats how you get angus' speed look at live videos and youll know im right

  • im sure you knew this but you mean pull off right and i agree.

  • wow, you speak good english, lol!!!

  • It is. Thanks mate! Almost got the solo down.

  • No problem bro :)

Are you going to post it?

    Cheers!!

  • Definitely on posting :) I will post when I am confortable playing the whole song without thinking too much! I cannot figure out that lick at 5:23 - 5:27 though? HELP! :)

  • i use this notes (sometimes bent) :

    B string - 19th and 22nd fret

    G sring - 19th and 21st fret

    D string - 21st fret

hope you can figure out now :)

  • Thanks mate. After much listening to Angus isolated on the track, I reckon it is maybe a variation of the intro lick?

    i.e on B string,

    0 - 10 - 0 - 9 - 0 - 7 - 0 - 9 - 0 - 10 - 0 - 9 - 0 - 10

Then into G string bend at 9 etc? Does that make sense?! Lol

  • maybe :)

  • I am not 100%. Thanks again for this tutorial mate. Got the solo down now. Shall get file over when I have finished :)

  • ok have a nice evening mate :)

  • very nice, but it would be better if i had the tabs

  • whats problem? download it

  • Nice work hard intro to get right at speed

  • thanks bro :)

  • u need to use ur pinky on the intro riff

  • no ya dont fuckstick

  • you dotn need to its a matter of preferance u can play with wring finger if u so chose

  • everyone just wants to learn the intro about time theres a full lesson THANK YOU! :)

  • thank you for commenting

  • Very nice man, im just learning guitar :) any one know how long it wil ltake to learn this?

  • its easy the only hard bit about it is the picking just tap it to start off with : ) it took me like 10 minutes to get fast at it : ) good luck buddy

  • if you are good it sounds better if you dont strum but nun the less good vid

  • YOU ARE AWESOME MY FRIEND! :D Where's your accent from?

  • and you are very kind :)

    I am from Italy

  • I thought it was something like that but I was stuck between Greek and something else

  • you did good =) keep it up!

  • nice job

  • thanks :)

  • absoulutely brilliant lesson. any chance u have de tabs for de solo?

  • thank you, I have no tabs, sorry ;)

  • Wrong :P

  • angus picks it. he only does it with hammerons and pull offs in the video and only in the recordinghe picks the fretted notes and pulls off open notes. but live he picks everything. looked it up on wikipedia :D

  • he play it with hammer on's and pull off's in donington 92

  • live at donington you can clearly see his picking hand moving up and down. and he sez so on an interview. only on the music video he does it.

  • hahahaha for some reason i taught he was doing the devil horns with his right hand lol sorry for not trustung you my fellow hard rocking amigo lol

  • cool, check out my thunderstruck video lesson

    my channel is - electric115rock

  • the intro is with hammer on's and pull off's

  • it isnt

  • angus young does it picking he just does it that way in the music video for the camara (but I find it easier with hammering and pull offs).

  • thanks mate!

  • u don't need the pick fer the intro dude! just tellin' :)

  • angus does

  • Comment removed

  • yes i am ha ha :)

grazie per il tuo commento, ciao :)

    c'eri ad assago?

  • "acdc - Angus Young guitar lesson" EVERYONE WATCH THIS CLIP TO STOP THE HAMMER ON/ PICKING ANGUS SAYS TO PICK IT ... It is on youtube!!

  • angus only play with hammerons and pull offs in the video clip... on the study and live he play like rockybalboaforever.... looks more "amazing" with the hammer ons but its practically the same

  • u need to pull off and hammer on the notes i can do it myself too u need hammer on and pull off

  • i don't think so

  • il y a une angus

    j'adore le ACDC

  • so do I

  • im 16. i learned this song over a year ago. i can say that the way you play it still needs some work, but youve got the notes, so that's definately a great start!

as for the solo, i was able to take from it and its helped me get closer to learning the song n iv only watched one.

  • we always need some work - there is only one angus :)

  • when you started this intro ,you know this first part of that you should use 4th finger

you are using 3th :D but good film;d

  • it doesn't matter

  • hmm technics on guitar is important

  • well i use the 4th finger n e ways so....i was just sayin....

  • Just a FYI for ya.. great job.. but on th erhythm parts.. he is using th eG string as a pull off and NOT the F#... other than that.. you where very very close.. 5 stars for ya..!!!!!

  • Hi! after picking the string, do you pull off?

  • No, i pick the open b string

  • but you should do a pull off check out my video

  • HI! What's your gear (amp, guitar and setting) I have gt-10 and i have difficult the find the best sound for Iron Maiden and ACDC. Thanks!

  • I use a SG with guitar rig 3. I start from preset rigs and I edit them to get the tone I desire. Don't know what you shuold do with a gt10, sorry.

  • haha man i love your accent :D

just before you do the solo at 4:10 it sound better if you do on the g-string 4-2 then do the B chord

  • You now its a lot easier if you finger tap

  • sure music is easy but not so easy if you want to do it right!

  • thanks man!! perfect cover..

  • thanks for the video know i now more about thunderstruck than before. :D

  • Thank you :)

  • hey thanks ur good but i got dissapointed i thought u were gona teach the solo lol

  • Wow awesome playing 5 stars!!! definetly.

    AWesome guitar skills man!!!!!

  • Thank you :)

  • You said the weather is nice outside, but it's actually raining...! you funny!

  • Never said that.

I suppose you took "whether" for "weather" lol

  • Nice Job man, you play well :)

  • can you play it one-handed?

  • Of course I can. It's easier. You don't have to control two hands, but just one.

But I think that using both hands is the most accurate way to do it.

It's tough but when you get it will give you much more satisfaction than doing it with hammer-ons and pull-offs.

  • isnt it originally played with one hand?

  • The promo video misled you and a lot of other guys.

For a moment, don't watch it, just listen. And then try to play it in both ways.

You'll realize that with two hands it sounds much closer.

  • thanks bro

  • Excellent tutorial Beppe! I just have to tackle that solo!

  • Thanks Tyler :)

It's worth trying it - hope you can see it - in came out al little too dark

  • So for the intro are you just picking up and down on 2nd string

  • exactly

  • thank you sssssooooooo much man thank you for accepting the request

  • no probs ;)
