  • Hi everyone, this is a great video and i have it on a double dvd set that i had put together as i had 2 dvd's with every music video of Meat Loaf on but 2 of them was not good quality so i had them cut out. There are 15 music videos on each DVD, when i get some time i will up load a few videos for the rest of you Meat Loaf fans.

  • As the reason I got into rock music, Meat Loaf will always be one of my favourite artists, this is an awesome song!

  • This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. The PE teacher comments make it so much better.

  • Love this..my games teacher at school..Mr Glass is actually in it hes the the guy with grey hair in the front/ middle of the 3 chaps doing the harmony and sat to the left of Meat Loaf during the performance...a top bloke as i recall..

  • Fantastic track. At the time John Parr had registered a US Number 1 with St Elmos Fire.

  • I remember seeing this once, but for some reason always remember it as being Robert Palmer. Probably down to the women in the video. Thanks for this, I thought I was going mad! It'll explain why I've never been able to find it.

  • The backing vocals of this song was done by Frank Farian of Boney M..it's a real cool track by cool musicians!!!

  • Other guy is John Parr , sang the song 'saint elmos fire'

  • Not a bad tune, but an embarrassing video. Who the fuck are the 3 old dudes, 'nodding' to the tune presumably to get their timing right.? Makes me cringe to watch It!

  • Who's the other guy actually?

  • thats were lady gaga learnt her dances!

  • sure lady gaga copies that girls dance!

  • I love this song, one of the best songs on the Blind before I stop album.

  • yessssssssssssssssssss

  • Love it!

  • My favorite Meat Loaf track

  • The guy at 53 seconds is my PE teacher from school,Mr George Glass aka judo george.

  • @scrumpbee Class!

  • At 2:10 you are hearing Frank Farian, the male singer of Boney M.

  • just one word...awesome.

this is rock as rock should be

  • The part of this album on video has possibly been let out. When in Russia have published LP "Blind Before I Stop", on television showed approximately 6 videos from this album. It was in the late of the 80s.

  • this video was on a vhs tape, videos collection called "Hits 5", year was maybe 87-89

  • Im sure it's been said, but im just saying... the other guy is John Parr. A real talented guy who's mostly been in the background.

  • ROCK N ROLL MERCENARIES!

  • Does anyone have the tape of them being on David Brenner's show doing this. I do have a tape copy of it.

    DRSANGLE

  • Meat Loaf actually favourited this, on his youtube acount redpony2

  • Recently bought an old music video tape from the 80's, and it has this video on it. Transferred it on to dvd. Who is the guy playing the guitar with the stars and stripes?

  • @martybhoy72 The guy dueting with Meatloaf is John Parr who had a big hit in 1985 with "St Elmo's Fire"

Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries reached number 31 in the UK charts in October 1986.

  • @ninaian Thanks for the info. I thought it might be J. Steinman

  • I loved this song, had it on an old tape, who sang with him and does anyone have it in mp3 format?

  • Sorry again but the clip I have doing this was on the David Brenner show.

Someone else may have it but the only place I had ever seen it done until now

and this song really says more than any video can but it really needs Meatloaf

and the guys in video to make the song what it is. Thanks again. Just for the Gold!

  • Sorry, I meant to thank you for putting this clip on with this song. The song kinda

says it all doesn't it. Meatloaf, hey, what can I say!

  • I have a video tape of them doing this live on, oh it was a comedian, I can't think

of his name but had a late night show for a short time and they did this song

on there. I always thought the song was really great but never have checked

until now to see what happened with it.

  • excellent bx

  • Written by the legend that was Al Hodge - the finest guitarist, singer, teacher and above all, bloke you ever met

  • hey, this is great, i was thinking, do you think you could get 'one more kiss (night of the soft parade)' by meatloaf

  • Van dit nummer is ook een optreden in Veronica's Countdown geweest waarbij ook Adam Curry meespeelde op gitaar.

  • Great song! I've been looking for this video for a long time... Thanks :)

  • ha ha pretending to play guitars.

  • ÅÅÅH! John parr! <3

  • What a fatty he is there

  • @lumpybruisychickeny1

    so is ur mum

  • Actually he is slimmer now its just a shock to see him so gifted in eating. Nothing about my mother actually

  • Thanks for bringing this back, the whole video was on here before but got taken off. I'd never heard of this song either til a year ago and absolutely love it.

  • A very rare Meatloaf video but also a great one with John Parrs raspy voice I love that voice not many know of this song he most known for the St Elmos Fire song
