  • Well there's a lot to think about if you gonna get a GP rat! I've had 3 & I know it's both time consuming & very hard pets to take care of. If you still wanna get one try to read everything you can about them first & talk to GP rat owners first. They don't have the same personality as a normal pet rat. GPs can be very agressive if not handled from an early age & if you manage to get it tame it still can be agressive to both friends & family members.

  • I have think about to get a rat...well not yet at least, i am going to get my apartment maybe in winter, but i have a question about rats!

Is gp-rats like ordinary rats, i mean can they learn tricks and yeah you know, do they have the same personality? :)

  • I...Want one.

  • you cant go out with rats... its stressy for them. and dont give them too much chocolate only a little little little bit.

  • O.M.G how preCIOUS!!!!!! i want one!! Rats are such fantastic little pets, i love them and their little faces so much :p

  • COOL!

  • is it normal to bring your pet rat to the park and play with it and have ir run around in a field please repley if u think its normal or not lol idk

  • Really? Cool:) But I can assure you that it was a usual sewer rat and not a GP rat.

  • @RazorBladeAngel1 how can u tell?

  • talk about rats i saw a rat in the sewers almost that big!!

  • They can eat a little chocolate:) It's fine as long as you don't give them to much! :)

  • @RazorBladeAngel1 Pound for pound, rats have better resilience to the theobromines in chocolate than humans. You take more of a risk giving a 8lb baby chocolate than one of these guys.

  • are you giving him chocolate???=O

  • You should never feed rats chocolate -_-

  • @Sophie0257 Actually, chocolate is fine for rats. Little pieces of dark chocolate every once in a while can even be helpful. Rats are not like dogs; a rat could eat all the chocolate it wanted and not be poisoned. The only reason you should avoid feeding them chocolate is that too much fatty, sugary food makes them overweight.

  • @GigawattRat After my rat died, my vet told me giving rats a high calorie diet (chocolate has tons of calories for such small portions) can give them tumors (rats are prone to tumors to begin with).

  • I'm sorry for your lost.

    That's an amazing rat!

  • il est magnifique !

  • @iMSoHigh420ritenow Nope, special breeders only. I think you also need a special license, at least here in the States anyway.
