Great video. Joe Magrane's daughter was on American Idol tonight and they mentioned her Dad was in the 1987 WorId Series. It brought back memories of how incredibly loud it was in the Metrodome during that World Series. I listened to all the games on Armed Forces Radio when I was stationed on the DMZ in Korea and I remember that noise very well. Those fans started screaming long before the first pitch and never stopped....
I was there during game 6 of the 87' series when Kent Hrbek hit a grand slam off of Ken Daily....loudest....fucking....sound....ever. I have never heard anything that has been even close to that loud in the 23 years since. It literally shakes your soul.
My dad got ticks to game 6 and 7...My family and I were moving from South Dakota to Holland (military)...This was a totally awesome experience...the camera in this video is one section over from where we sat...dead center in direct line with 2nd base and home plate 3 rows from the top...I don't care...I was there...
When I asked my Dad if he watched this he said hey y'know i lived down the street from the dome. he said if someone got a hit on t.v he could hear a cheer then down tha street cheer. i love the twins but the suck whenever they go to the playoffs.
The Twins crowd was great that series. I remember how incredibly loud and energetic they were on tv with those homer hankies. I was neutral to both teams but was fun to see the Twinkies win because of this supercharged stadium.

I attended games 1 & 2. It was louder than a Rolling Stones concert! It was a fun and very exciting time for Twins fans! Good luck Twins in 2011.

This team won only 85 regular season games and no road wins in the world series. They definately paled in comparison to MY Mets the year before.

@EMOTIONALLOGICABLE
I don't like them that much, but they won regardless

@SFFOOL76 The Mets deserved to win the year before, but I can't really say that about the Twins

Spent my childhood in the 1970s dreaming of the Twins winning the World Series. '87 turned out to be pretty close....

That place was scary loud when it was full. I think the 87 crowds were the loudest ever. Great video!
