@awes141 I think so. This was 3 years ago and you didn't need it if you were traveling within certain regions of Mexico such as Sonora, which is the state that borders Arizona, but I now you do.
@awes141 As far as I'm concerned you can still use a birth certificate to cross but it's highly recommended to have a passport,from what I've heard it's quicker to cross with a passport
@eduardoX1115 Actually i just took my first trip to Canada. Its a lot harder to cross between US and Canada then US and Mexico. Doesn't that make you feel safer?
i was just there last night, by mistake. tried to get to that mcdonalds but got hearded into the lane for crossing...passport in camper. got back in no problem though. love the area and the people!
I know exactly where that McDonalds is. Yep, its very easy to get sidetracked and end up in Mexico without meaning too. Its good you got back in with no problems. Just be more careful next time.

We left Nogales, Arizona and entered Nogales, Sonora. Both sides of the border share the same name.
