Hardest nes title. I can beat all the popular controller destroyingly hard games on the nes but this one. The levels are complete hell.

Not at all, as the VC version is an identicle copy.

At the end of the day, I hate emu's myself, but this is a legal emu done by professionals.

Has anybody else noticed a glitch in this version?  For me all of the "phony" rocks and fires that normally reveal crackpot bonuses will INSTANTLY KILL YOU!

Pretty much, although Wonder Boy is IMO about a million times better 'cause of the music and the extras levels that this did not see.

@DEIVION212 The music in Wonder Boy is kinda ok but it's almost always the same track over and over. Adventure Island tracks are all catchy and every type of level has its own.

Because we have more power coming through our plugs/sockets, so apparentally that means weaker consoles.

No idea what the real reason is, this is just the one I've heard for years.

It's got to do with the TV signal. Since PAL TVs has a lesser frame rate then NTSC, it means the games are slower, but are outputted at a better resolution. NTSC is the opposite. Of course we have 60hz (60hz is still PAL, but with more frames) support now, but back in the day it was only 50hz and the games had to be converted to work on a 50hz signal.

Forgive me if I sound garbled, this is quite hard to explain. It's possible to convert them properly for the VC, it's just Ninty been lazy

When you say missed, do you mean never mentioned them or just missed them while playing?

Because I don't say absolutely everything about a game. And I don't try to play really well because I'm too busy doing everything else.

Missed while playing is all. Fair enough if you don't try to play really well...it just seems like lots of people don't finish this game and I can't help wondering if they don't kno abvout half the stuff that makes it easier. I have only gotten to world 8 pattern 2 - it's a freakin hard game.

Nah mate, it's simply a case of having to read, speak, kinda play, and look over the camera on the tripod. So 9-10, infact 9.9-10 times, I'll look like shit XD

Love the game, but yeah, it can be hard alright :)

They deffo look better on a HD through the HD Compo cable.
