1:15 Taiwanese bathrooms are not like American bathrooms. I'm sure everyone knows about the "squatting" toilet (though she does go to a rich school, so that's debatable), but Taiwanese bathrooms have doors that touch the ground. There's no escape. :o

Although meteor garden produced it first, Hana yori dango is still the best version out of the three. It carries out the storyline in a unique, extremely interesting way (as evidenced by 2 seasons, and extra movies), and although the actors are not the best looking, they certainly act the best. Makino, Tsukasa, and Rui certainly embody their characters perfectly. The korean version was definitely the worse -_- yea their actors were HOTT, but the main girl came of as weak and pathetic.

@Courtnet2121 IKR makino was such a weakling in the end I really hated that also the story for the seson 2 was too fast and I hated how the didnt include the good relationship between rui and makino and I hated how makino treats rui in this ver makino never treats rui like that I wish inou maos was not so over accting LOL even tho jun and shun were epic XD its just wasnt awesome as meteor garden XD the movie stinked XD I love their acting but the script stinked XD lol

The reason why the acting was better in HYD is because the actors had experience. Both Inoue Mao & Jun Matsumoto had already starred in SEVERAL dramas before HYD, whereas Jerry had only been in 1 drama & Barbie had been in NONE. I give all of the actors in Meteor Garden credit for trying their best on their FIRST drama.

Sure, the acting wasn't great and their clothes were horrendous (come on, it was the early 2000s...) but the script was decent, the characters were pretty close to their manga..

I love Hana Yori Dango tho. :)...And I agree with you about the Korean version being horrible despite all the hype. It had bad acting, a bad script, and the main characters weren't themselves. :-/

@Courtnet2121 I love Geum Jandi! Yes, she was certainally not as tough and fiesty as Tsukushi or Shancai but that's what makes her character just that little bit different, she was supposed to be weak because F4 were her saviours as opposed to equally aggresive friends lol

@suju157 It's based on a Japanese MANGA...just think, the only reason for Hana Yori Dango to have this much success, it's because of this series, they made HYD popular, and the rest followed. Japan saw how popular the storyline is and made their own...same with Korean. This may not be an original PLOTLINE, but it is still the original who STARTED IT ALL....

@AceLockMakLeaBli personally i give coodos to Meteor garden for making it first, but i prefer HYD because i felt like it didnt drag on, it got to the point and was never boring. Plus the acting was much better than both versions. I don't like how BOF just seemed to take parts from MG and HYD. It got combined in a way that it seemed lk oh we need to fit this in too" so parts of the show were way to random without a meaning behind it. Original or not, this was very boring and draging.

I do agree that the acting in HYD are so much better, I can't argue with that...but MG will always be the catalysts for HYD to be popular....I say if it wasn't for MG's popularity, I doubt Japan and Korean will create a remake too....

I just think that if they didn't go step by step and left parts out, because obviously mangas always have those chapter where you want to skip, that the story line for the show wouldn't have been as boring. But like i said, they did it first, and although it wasn't my favorite it stil beats the korean version
