Though this unit doesnt usually see combat he still served his country and actually signed up for the war in Vietnam. You cant just go to Vietnam and start fighting you have to be deployed and his unit was never deployed to Vietnam. I was there when he was campaigning, I was there for the election (in which a state referandum passed by a landslide and the only candidate in favor of it received only a small percentage of the votes), and I was there for a good part of his term in office.

I thought about that too but I concluded that it would be best to at least vote for someone who is running. It sucked because the Libertarian and Constitution party candidated didn't appear to be agressive enough.
