what does block all long range fire mean? does it mean like you get less damage when enemy attack you? @LutzRoyce

@szy888 No, it's blocks projectile-based attacks. For example:

A raven throws a PDD. A nearby enemy spore crawler shoots the raven once. The PDD blocks that projectile shot from the spore crawler (by firing a red point defense laser to intercept the shot), and the raven takes no damage.

This will go on until the PDD runs out of energy, because each point defense laser consumes 10 energy. Since a PDD spawns with 200 energy, it can block up do 20 shots.

Hydras in melee range have a melee animation, will the PDD still stop the hydras attack?

@TheUENtv it doesn't, if you get the hydras close enough to the pdd the range attack can actually damage it. Their dps is so high and with enough the pdd just can't stop them all.

@LulzRoyce No, the point defense drone only blocks certain attacks. Typically, labeled as "projectiles"

Does Block:

Stalker, Hydralisk, Marauder, Viking (air to air), Mutalisk, Banshee

Does not block:

Tank, Marine, Roach, Sentry, Immortal, Viking (ground to ground)

Hydralisks attack too fast, it is better to invest the gas from ravens in siege tanks or thors.

@Bhargos for hydras u have to micro back and send one or 2 seeker missiles into them while they chase down the ravens. after that most of the should be dead if not use turrets
