I hope you see this and respond.. how is it driving on the freeway at abotu 70-80mph? Is it really loud inside while driving? Or could you just turn up the radio a little bit and not hear it at all? I really want this exhaust, but I cannot find a video of it at normal speeds.
keep up your videos. Lots of detail and thanks! I'm looking at exhausts and i really love the dual exhaust look but i want to gain more power, witch i probably will about the same in a dual or single and the weight difference will help for sure. What do you think?
@XxxXVick Yeah I don't have any dyno data or anything to support the power increase or lack thereof. There is some chance that I might make a video which reviews a variety of products, including dyno results. Personally I wanted to save as much weight as possible, and I've heard that single had a better chance at HP increase... thus my decision.
Thanks for the response! I was looking into the Single one as well but the dual look is killing me!? =/ haha ill have to flip a coin i think then call it a day
the single exhaust saves about 30lbs. of unnecessary weight, but won't that affect the balance of Front to Rear weight ratio??? you do need some weight in the back to keep you grounded
Good Vid by the way.. Why the 60RS and not the 70RS???
@deckan315 Thanks! I suspect the F/R weight ratio change (as it applies to balanced handling) would probably go unnoticed to the majority of S2000 owners. I think there are a higher percentage of drivers whom would "benefit" from less weight under acceleration than would "suffer" from a F/R imbalance. For the record though... the next time I make a video like this I'm going to provide dyno & corner balance numbers with it. I only got the 60mm simply because there was a used one available!
Honestly I don't have experience with a wide variety of other exhausts at the moment. I'm considering doing some other videos on a wider variety of mods in the future though.
No real drone. Sure... a little more than stock... but perfectly livable IMO. I've heard you can attach a right angle test pipe to eliminate it but I've never tried that. I didn't try any other pipes because when I heard this I knew it was the one. I may do more pipe reviews in the future though. A project I have in mind.
Thanks for the quick reply! Yea, I was expecting there to be more drone than stock for sure, but thankfully it doesn't seem to be an ungodly silly loud noise haha! How is the throttle response and over feel of driving around with the 60rs? I love the growl of this exhaust and if the 70rs is similar and not too much louder I think I may consider that pipe since a lot of people seem to swear by the 70mm being better for our cars, even with a simple i/h/e N/A build..
There is no doubt the throttle response was improved. That is one thing I definitely noticed. Blipping for downshifts seemed more silky for sure. I'd say go for the 70mm for sure. I imagine it would be even easier breathing.
is there much drone during daily driving? thats my main concern... have you also had any experience with the dual version or the 70rs models of this exhaust? i'm contemplating this or the T1R exhaust..

I am loking at the Dual 60RS for my CL-9.
I can get a better deal on it than the Mugen Exhaust. This is a hard decision for me. Any thoughts?

I went with Mugen, I thought it might not attract as much attention.
