With reference to what Ron Paul ended on: I used to envy and admire America many, many years ago but now I have grown to despise it because of what it is doing to other sovereign countries. I'm not alone because year after year, surveys have shown that hatred towards America and Americans has skyrocket to second place behind Israel. Since I'm a westerner with the same white skin and values, this should be troubling to your security, if not your pride.

I would have to agree. Ron Paul says we should be an example to other countries (which I agree with), that we should want them to emulate. But as the opposing side pointed out, their leaders do not like our culture emulation that spreads and undermines their authority (Like Osama) and the authority of Islam, which is why even if we don't do anything, we're still a threat because of the spread of our culture.

With reference to what Ron Paul ended on: I used to envy and admire America many, many years ago but now I have grown to despise it because of what it is doing to other sovereign countries. I'm not alone because year after year, surveys have shown that hatred towards America and Americans has skyrocket to second place behind Israel. Since I'm a westerner with the same white skin and values, this should be troubling to your security, if not your pride.

I would have to agree. Ron Paul says we should be an example to other countries (which I agree with), that we should want them to emulate. But as the opposing side pointed out, their leaders do not like our culture emulation that spreads and undermines their authority (Like Osama) and the authority of Islam, which is why even if we don't do anything, we're still a threat because of the spread of our culture.

What troubles me is that he is trying to take the words "all men are created equal" taken from a document meant for our country and apply it to interventionism for the liberty of other countries when it says nothing of the sort in it. Ron Paul keeps repeating the same thing over and over. He sounds like a maniacal liberal like the guy who stood up and tried to ask D'Souza a question.
Non-interventionist policy is an isolationist policy. The U.S, instead of being a hero will become that quiet kid at school who stands there when a kid is getting beat up for his lunch money instead of trying to help.

So is D'Souzza last argument a recognition of the argument of 9/11 truth, how illogical it is that he belives correctly that people in that room could plan to bring down USA yet the NWO with the power motive and means could not or would not think to do so when on the whole they are psychotic. The point is that while there are islamo fascist they did not by themselves have the abillity to successfully carry out 9/11 or bring the WTC down by plane strikes alone.

If there was another 9/11, and another, etc, the US would be forced to stop playing world policeman. But as for a police state? Only in his fondest dreams! Soups basis for argument is so logically flawed it is beyond belief. Some brief points:
1. The only entity capable of taking away freedom is government.
2. The only entity capable of inciting hatred serving as the motivation for 911 events is government through flawed policy.
3. The only effective defense against non state actors is covert yet direct means like marque and reprisal letters and intelligence/police actions.

As an independent, I began allying myself with the Libertarian Party several years ago - while always cautious about being labeled as part of a group.
Today, I no longer associate myself with the LP.
Seeing these so-called "Libertarian" statists spout the same rhetoric as the neocons confirms it for me.

Do you know why another 9/11 will be what destroys our freedoms further? its because the powers that be will use it as an excuse to strip away even more of our rights and dismantle the Constitution. That is their desire and the next attack will be the excuse and justification. America has sustained losses 1000 times greater than 9/11 and not lost its freedoms, but now it is at risk because those in charge wish to kill the freedom.

Really the leaders of this debate were Dr. Ron Paul and Dinesh D'Souza, but i think in the end Ron Paul came out on top. He knew what he was talking about understood how the American government is taking away our freedoms with every "terrorist attack", he make more sense and was better researched. I am so thankful we finally have someone so hopeful running for president of the USA, i just hope and pray people learn more about him and he grows enough in popularity that he wins the election.
