  • @ItalianoAmericano Great guitar/sax-duell....

  • The guitarist looks like he is wearing a Robin costume. Holy 80's Flashback Batman.

  • great song, great band

  • god i love watching all these US Festival performances! I love this song, too bad they started it off way too slow (in my opinion) and had to stick to that tempo

  • Great upload!

  • Greatest music ever made: 60s, 70s, and the first half of the 80s.

  • I wish I had been able to record this when vh1classic aired it.

  • Miss the 80's! Thanks for sharing!

  • i was there havey METALDAY , TODAY TOMORROW TOGETHER !

  • I'd rather see the Fiddle and Sax Duet on this song....Great song.

  • Pat Benatar Lite

  • Man, what a voice. Love this group. Thanks for posting.

  • So if someone doesn't like this band you remove their comments? I don't know what it is about her. Her voice gives me a raging headache. I like Joan Jett and Pat Benetar and the Motels which all have some similar style but QF just hits a nerve for some reason. Don't expect everyone in your thread to post positive remarks. And you shouldn't remove their comments... go learn the definition of spam. Quarterflash is a band with instrumental talents and she plays a good sax but her voice sucks.

  • @NathansPhase2012 dale bozzio fan r u?? lmao.......

  • @muttville1 Yes... Missing Persons.. Great band. And the Motels. and I like Heart and Pat Benatar as well. Like I said, they're good musicians but her voice hurt my ears.

  • @NathansPhase2012 hurt?? whatever......

  • @muttville1 whatever dale bozzio then, I guess.

  • @NathansPhase2012 love her old man but talk about hurt, minus that rack!!!

  • @muttville1 I'm not saying I hate her. I'm just saying i don't like her voice. I like the Sax. She's pretty kick ass at playing that. And the band is a great performing act. But I geuss it works for other people (her voice). Take care

  • Rindy doesn't even prefer Rock n Roll. Her husband, Marv was the rocker. Rindy was into Joni Mitchell and folk music. They made an agreement to do the pop stuff if Marv would later do the folk stuff. So now they do folk music as the Trail Band. It takes a lot of air to blow into that sax. Especially the "growl" that she uses. That's why her vocal is a little weaker during these live performances than on the album versions. They never claimed to be better than Pat. Long live Marv and Rindy Ross!

  • Ya can't take anything away from this performance ! QF was spectacular this day and as always on stage. Rindy's voice is so sweet ! This band never got the recognition it deserved. If opera is your bag then stay there innamorata40, this is rock ! Octave ranges don't count in rock&roll !

  • @silverdollar3 Do you read asshole? Benatar never got into Opera as a career. And I never claimed to like opera. I was stating a fact early on in her life. Benatar is far superior as a artist then Rindy or Quarterflash. The never got much recognition, because most in the industry, thought they didn't deserve it! Duh.... Dumbshit!!

Millions of album sales and a wall full of awards, uh.. ya that Benatar.

  • @silverdollar3 "Octave ranges don't count in Rock and Roll." Did you just pull that head out of that ass of yours? To the 22 million fans who have purchased Ms. Benatar's albums and to the Grammy Institute who voted Benatar as the Best Female Rock Vocalist (9 nominations, 4 wins) I think octaves do count dumbshit!

  • I love the harmonizing at the end. I (heart) her!

  • I saw this for the first time last night on VH1's video of this concert and it BLEW me away! This singer/sax player is soooo talented. The "duet:" with the lead guitar is awesome. There is nothing like this around today. As ItalianoAmericano said REAL musicians and all live.

  • OK, Pat B has some great songs and deserves the respect! This performance, live, with a lead singer who can play a sax and a lead guitarist who jams like this, it's just hard to match. There are US Festival DVDs, search online and there's a company that released them along with some other shows. Great performances.

  • One of the great bands from the '80s...

  • I really miss the "80's" there will NEVER be another comparable decade.

  • in 2009 she was still hot. seem them last summer in portland.

  • doug I don't think she looks like that anymore, that was 27 years ago, I remember I was there at the Us Festival

  • It's not fair to be as old as I am and still have crushes. Rindy, if you're into old farts who are laid off from work and all but penniless - than I'm you're guy!

  • You should move to Portland Oregon

  • I regret never seeing these guys in concert. :(

  • Yes, this is better than any Benatar.

QF should have had the #1 spot !!!

  • @silverdollar3 r u serious? this is very good , and reminds me of Pat , I think it is her best song....but better than "any" ..ANY?? Benatar?? lol

  • @silverdollar3 - You need to polish that silver dollar or sell it for some common sense! Benatar by far is a better singer. She studied Opera and because of her voice she was accepted (she declined) in Julliard School of Music. Benatar has a 4.5 octave range. There is nobody in Rock and Roll (not pop) that has that range. The only one who comes close to Benatar's range in Rock and Roll is Ann Wilson. Get fuckin real!!!!

  • @silverdollar3 Yes, I've read your post. And if you read the post I'm commenting on "Yes, this is better than any Benatar." You'll see that you started this "competition" 7 months ago. What else would you claim this remark to be? Your a fuckin' stupied moron!!

  • I saw it too and had forgotten about this song. Great live band. Pat B's great, but this performance blows her away. The guitar and closing out a song like this with the sax - outstanding!

  • @73TRANSAM455 - Dude, your fuckin' crazy! Benatar has so much more vocal power and range than Ms. Ross could dream of. I've seen Benatar 41 times and compared to this video, it's no wonder why Benatar is one of the most successful female rockers in history!

  • yeh i saw this on vh1 to.

  • i saw this on vh1 classic the other day and i was like geez this band is known for having harden my heart as a one hit wonder i think this song should have been bigger.

  • Sounds great, I always thought she sounded like Pat Benetar.

  • GREAT TRACK! I wrote to them back then and they wrote back. rindy wrote me the nicest letter and included an autographed photo of the entire band! ROCK ON!!!!

  • i been singing this for 20 yrs and can only dream to sing like her.

    amazing song.

    right there with Pat B

  • @doodame - If you can only dream to sing like Rindy, your not dreaming big enough! The only one "right there" with Benatar is Ann Wilson. Rindy Ross has nothing on these two great vocal talents. I just love reading all these post by people who think Rindy Ross is a better singer than Benatar. Thank god the people who have posted these ridiculous comments thinking Rindy is a better singer than Benatar, do not work in the music industry and if they do, I guarantee, they don't pick the talent!

  • @innamorata40 While you may be Ms. Benatar's most ardent champion, is it really ... necessary to do that in the comments for a Quarterflash video? It's really not a competition, and there's no prize at the end. Quarterflash made great music when it recorded, as does Pat Benatar today and then. End of story.

  • @isitrealgood - I was surfing You Tube and came across this video. After reading many comments and replys quoting RIndy Ross was better than Benatar, I decided I would chime in... The fact is, you just don't agree with me or like my comment. I was not the first to post about Benatar and I won't be the last. If you have a problem with this, I suggest you move to China or Russia. In this great country, I have every right to post what I wish! Benatar Rocks!!

  • @innamorata40 Guess what? I'm not going to disagree with you on either count... you can say whatever you darn well please 'cuz this is America, goshdarnit, and yeah, Benatar rocks. What I said, if you bothered read my post is that it's not a competition. They BOTH rock. That this should matter to you puff out your chest to champion Mrs. Giraldo, again and again, makes you look less tough and more... well... silly.

  • Bravo!!!! grea great performance.

  • Great song. I have them doing a few songs from the US Festival and also have a great concert of Quarterflash from Tulsa, OK in 1982 i believe with a couple songs they never released. Great Band !

  • Quarterflash is awesome!

  • Great tune, great perfomance.

  • Wow- This is rare. I didn't even know there was any video available of the 83' US festival.

  • @ray6200 - type on you tube header 83' US Festival, you'll find alot

  • I wish someone would release the U.S. Festival on Dvd just like Live Aid was made available to the public. There are too many great artists and performances to keep in the vault.

  • I agree! I was there for both the '82 and '83 shows. I'd love to have them on DVD.

  • @SARATT69 - surf the net for US Festival '83. There are DVD's (nicely re-done) for sale.

  • Wow this is an oldie, not too bad live either.
