Err.. Madagas left out one thing they need toys and some get into the habbit of buying toys alot for their suggies.. so it really just depends on how far your willing to go. Plus they need a regular vet and an emergency vet some one who can see them when your normal vet is cloed at night and has some knowledge of how to help a suggie
Indeed, but as she said 'if you've got enough money for their enclosure, and food (as it's such a specailised diet) you've pretty much got enough for the animals.
cute suggies! i got mine yesterday, but they always inside the wooden nest, how can i make them like urs who r so tamed? Can u give some advice/suggestions/tips on how to tame them.Only one came out to feed & only when ights off. How can i make them out of nest even when lights on? Im from philippines.thanks a lot!!
hi im from philipines too.. Well I put newspaper and some thick and thin bracnches and a bigger cage helps. Take them out everyday for at least 1 hour and cup them in your hands f they make sound that means there just saying sumthing. try petting the relaxed one and holding your hand out once he starts licking you. Then take him out. Do the same to the other when the first can walk around your body and go into your pockets and everything without fear.. This is in trial
you need to get your sugar gliders used to you. wear an old t-shirt for like, 5 hours, then put it in their nest. sugar gliders go by smell, not by sight, and if they're used to your smell in their home, they'll associate your smell with comfort, playtime, and meals. that's just one way you could do it...
Thanks for the quick answer! The problem I think is that I live in Canada so I don't know all the rules to bring exotic animals from another country, I gotta check that :P, are they good with cats?
umm, ya not sure about Canada either. There is someone in one of my yahoo groups that was interested in Suggies and they found some somewhere but didnt get them. I can check into this if you would like. No, they have to be kept seperate from cats unless you have a real laid back kitty. I have one that cares less if it jumps on him and my other kitty thinks its a mouse.
hi, im also from canada and i got mine locally, I dont think costums will let you ship them in from a different country... Try looking at alberta and ontario, I know there are quite a few breeders out there, if your in BC theres this person named Barb who rescues them. Google her name :P

Wow never seen those, their fur looks really cool, what do they eat? Where did you get them?
gamajeal 4 years ago
The best place to get them is from a local breeder........Like me!
They eat fresh fruits and veggies nightly and also turkey/chicken
Their fur is very silky soft and they make wonderful pets but do require lots of TLC
sbur1 4 years ago
@sbur1 what's TLC?
