  • Lol, you're describing what religion is. 00:12

  • @vinsong Lol, so true

  • good video!

  • So even with all the evidence and data that conclusively points to evolution as real you still don't want to believe and mock those who do and yet with absolutely zero evidence for a god you believe and mock those who don't?

  • For one thing, just because something is repeated doesn't mean it is false.

For another thing, guilt by association is a logical fallacy and the sign of a weak or dishonest argument.

Finally, there is a wealth of information supporting evolution. Look up the peppered moth or salamanders surrounding the San Joaquin Valley.

  • "Is there enough evidence accumulated to date to declare the theory of evolution 'fact'?"

No. However, there is more than enough evidence to state evolution is a fact.

  • @Desertphile Yeah much more concise than I am :)

  • @Desertphile

Damned! I only clicked this this video to say exactly that. Precognitive plagiarist!

  • One more question for you to consider. Ever heard of Godwin's Law?

  • @Answersinbooks @ about 6:48 There is no discussion about the validity of evolutionary theory in the widest sense because it is so well supported by evidence. Everyone who is researching in any of the fields even touching on evolutionary biology would love to over turn it scientifically. It is by over turning a theory that one can make their name the quickest in science. However there is no evidence disproving evolution.

  • @Answersinbooks The theory of evolution says nothing about god. In fact no scientific theory does. You can not prove any god's existence scientifically so they are not mentioned. Now just because gravitational theory doesn't mention Atlas whom held up the sky in greek myth it doesn't seek to disprove him. After all he could be completely undetectable thanks to magic. The same reason we don't split class time between greek myth and gravitational theory is the same reason creation isn't.

  • @Answersinbooks Why not chase down other cults and religions. Hmm let me think. Oh yes because your religion is the most numerous and happens to have followers in charge of vast armies and weapons of mass destruction. I am not sure a wiccan has ever had so much as one nuke. If they were as numerous as Christians or Muslims then it would be a different matter.

  • @Answersinbooks Challenge myself... I watched your video didn't I? In fact I watch many and am yet to be swayed.

  • @Answersinbooks ; "In fact I watch many and am yet to be swayed."

That's the problem with occult superstition: people who are not infected will not be swayed by it.

  • @Desertphile The more annoying point is they assume you have never tried to see things their way or even looked at what they offer. It would seem in many instances to be a case of projection but I stop short of armchair psychiatry 101 :)

  • Terrorism:

    1) Do all Christians believe the same thing?

    2) Do you think that all muslims believe the exact same thing?

    3) Do all Christians condone the murder of doctors?

    4) Do all muslims condone acts of violence?

    5) Do they all take part in acts of violence?

    Evolution:

Evolution is an observed fact. It has been witnessed and reported in many papers. Including repetition of the steps under controlled conditions on members of the original species.

    cont

  • @Answersinbooks The theory of evolution as the process that produced all the species on Earth is still a theory. This is because we have not had the benefit of observing it first hand. Instead there is an abundance of evidence from a vast array of scientific areas of study that all support the theory of evolution. There is indeed nothing that has yet been found that disproves it. Science is the search for evidence to disprove hypotheses. When none is found and supporting evidence is then

  • @Answersinbooks the hypothesis is likely to be moved up to the top rank if you will as a theory. Even there it can be toppled by evidence disproving it. However theories are the working models that science uses to explain events. They are supported with a massive amount of evidence ironically evolution is perhaps one of the best supported in this regard.

  • @Answersinbooks However It doesn't matter how many fossils, how much genetic information you posses in the strictest philosophical terms evolution as the process that produced the variety of life will always be a theory. Just like gravity, just like germ theory etc. However you would be foolish to disregard any of them without evidence disproving them.
