@guy2814stewart - Easy there, Chief! I love Vedder, but NOBODY 'dwarfs' Springsteen!! There's a reason Eddie is covering The Boss' tune and not the other way around.
So he messed a few lyrics, so what. I think it incredible that hes does as well as he does. How can Springsteen rmember the lyrics to his 400 songs? He can't. He uses a telepromter. That's what allows his to play 150 different songs on a tour, and play off-the-wall audience requests.
If he, or Eddie, Dylan, or any of the greats played the same canned show every night they'd never miss a lyric. The variation is part of what gives a concert its edge and excitement.
@CPSJSMSUUMUGA : absolutely...why come to a live show and hear the same over-rehearsed playlist? vedder is always great at keeping the crowd engaged, with his banter and activity on stage and the song selection too...he's a master at what he does...
The Bruce and Dylan are songwriting gods too, though I've never seen them live, so I can't comment...
he fucked up the lyrics... i don't care if you sing with heart and soul... i love eddie vedder but he fucked it up this version just doesn't do it for me
@godreau9 each to their own but thats what makes live shows intoxicating - different interpretations, mistakes, improvs, jams etc. if you only ever want to hear the error free original, stay home and listen to the record
"did i fuck it up" HAHAH great cover by Eddie. Maybe he's not The Boss, but he's damn good at covering some of my favorite artists (Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, etc..), and also damn good with Pearl Jam. One of the best artists still singing today. People like him give me hope that the next generation won't be idolizing "Taio Cruz" or fckin Justin Bieber or shitty pop, no talent artists like that.

@clemep He's exactly like Springsteen in his relatability to the audience. Been 13 times to see Bruce and he gets better and better each time.

It makes a strange effect to hear this from someone who's not Bruce. Good job at any rate. Eddie has a very beautiful voice.
