  • Ein unglaublich sexy Tanzstil. Ich bin froh, dieses Video gefunden zu haben. :)

  • Loved the fusion between different styles, really entertaining and inspiring, you girls rock! To all the self-appointed judges right here: go search "charleston bellydance" and then kindly get a heart attack please. ;)

  • so classy and sassy!!

  • Where is this?

  • I declare this the hottest video on the internet

  • This is awesome! I would love to be able to memorize a dance like this!

  • That had to be a hard routine, o many different moves in one show. Those girls are great. Really like this.

  • Original or not those babes are cool and having fun. I sure enjoyed it.

  • ITSSSSS BAACK

  • Their dance and outfits are the 20's...but the music is the 40's.

  • that is flappin! hot how did this ever go out of style

  • They are very off.... But its cool for what it is.

  • they didnt say they were real flappers. it says flapper INSPIRED

  • The stupidest thing is that people sit here bashing this. Did you not watch the whole video? Obviously it caught your attention enough that you just HAD to post a comment! Who gives a shit if it isn't really "flapper", or if the swing music is from a different era! What matters is they were trying to entertain, and that's what they did! So everyone shut the fuck up, and enjoy the entertainment!!

  • That was very cool. Nice dancing,

  • This is amazing (: Great job (:

  • Who cares about authenticity! This was very entertaining and the girls were amazing

    and I'm not even drunk.

  • First. Music isnt wrong it's Singsingsing (benny goodman) second. swing is a genre within jazz, like dixie or ragtime are. third. don't know what the girls are doing some crazy dance but nothing from the twenties. it aint swing or charlston or quickstep and the must be ashamed to dare to put the word flapper in their title

  • @FloristheKing who cares really? I think they did a good job. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

  • great! facial expressions are wonderful!

  • I Like, i like.. Very "Shecsheee".....

  • I need to learn how to do that routine...its for a project!!!

  • Ohhh my gosh iI played this song at my concert! It's Zoot Suit Riot right?

  • It's a good routine but it would have been better if the dancers all had the same level of dance skill.

  • i really adore this routine its just so cute I LOVE IT! nice job girls =D

  • They certainly ruined Benny's classic. Dance Dance Dance is SWING. Ugh, my favourite genre. Crap dancing.

  • Wow talented. That's a really well done dance. They worked that fringe ^_^

  • love it <3

  • What is this song called??

  • Ew....... Their faces.... :/ Wow. I had to stop watching it lol. It's at the nightclub, so what do you expect? Girls like this give me and my girl-friends a bad name. :(

  • @ImTheAsianChick13 Jealous you are.

  • @dima9944 LOL you wish. I'm a very open minded person and am blunt.

  • @ImTheAsianChick13 Why would I wish you were jealous? You are jealous, and apparently stupid too.

  • This is just degrading. This is way too slutty.

  • @inverseactuality Degrading to who, pinhead?

  • @inverseactuality How was this too slutty? It's flapper inspired! You're just dumb!

  • Fun modern take on charlston...

  • These girls are not doing any flappers proud.... =( go die in a fire lol jk. but really nothing to be proud about.

  • come on people its just a fun thing to watch!! get over it! i mean come and have some fun. not everything needs to be perfect.

  • If your hair is down at the beginning of the evening, how do you let it down when you get the guy (or the gal) up to your flat at the end of the night?

And since when is 1930s swing flapper music?

  • As a historian I cant applaud the swing music being applied to flappers, the two eras are almost twenty years apart, especially Benny Goodman. As a guy, I love it!

  • @DeuceMP2 Honestly, it's a good song (one of my personal favorites) and the dance is obviously more "modern" with flapper-like qualities. I am a woman, and I love it! The girls did look like they were having fun, and that's the main point of dancing. I think the dresses just kind of crept up as the dancing continued. As a result, it slightly teetered over the edge of modesty at times...

  • @DeuceMP2 Anyway, I doubt they were attempting historical accuracy. The music and dancing worked well together from a "rhythmic standpoint"

  • @educate2inspire point taken.

  • look u r a bunch of damn haters tht was cute yall just fuckn mad yall cant do it

  • they are pretty good at dancing i mean come on! but i agree with a lot of the other comments etc... the thing about this that really annoys me is the girl with the bob because she continuously gets out of timing! ahaha :)

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, they've got it all wrong. But it's not what the guys are looking at, now is it?

  • Man. Haters gonna hate.

  • I have been wanting to go to the Edison!

  • Very impressive. I feel bad for these girls since all I see is untalented morons insulting them. However, I do agree with some comments-the style of dance is not "flapper" style and their fashion and music is fairly off.

  • wtf was this shit....?!

    couldn't even finish watching it.....

  • @ feycruz the music is sing sing sing . Sorry girls -- too anachronistic! Dresses too short ... Yada yada. Good T & A if you were trying for that!

  • The music is wrong

  • @helpAmerica1 Yep swing tune with flapper dance?

  • @helpAmerica1 Omfg, are you stupid? No its not? Its supposed to be like somthing from the 20's

  • @gummiosten No. They're playing swing music, instead of jazz.. Wrong genre.

  • @UponWishingStars Lol...

  • @helpAmerica1 The girls are quite right though. ;)

....and as has been said, a Flapper would probably get down to anything hot.

  • Not so impressed, they are really out of sync with each other so it looks messy. Yes, this dance is not supposed to be a real 'flapper' dance and is geared more towards a sexy stripper sort of dance, which I actually don't think it pulls off very well either.

  • Bennie Goodman didn't do this song until a decade later.

  • BLECH. These people DO NOT know ANYTHING. The music is wrong. The costumes are wrong. The dance is wrong. WRONG WRONG WRONG! I don't mean to be rude.

  • the name of this song ?

  • Comment removed

  • They are not flappers, only a bunch of strippers

  • You guys are gay. These women are totally hot.

  • Schwing

  • Stinks

  • I've commented on this post before, and I know it's Cali, but that's some Bleeding Kansas if I ever saw it!

  • New York is a better locale for this type of entertainment.

  • beauliful !!!!!!!!!! they are fantastic!!!!

  • I don't know why everyone cares that this is not a true "flapper" dance. This was 3 years ago at a club, not a history museum. The dance is suppose to be seductive and dirty. That's why they have the stripper moves and racy big band music. It's to entertain drunk people that were there. The guy that took the video just probably incorrectly named it "Flapper Dance" b/c he didn't know what to call it. Everyone should be more concerned that they don't dance very well together.

  • They don't look or dance like flappers. And this song is from the Big Band era. "Sing Sing Sing" was composed by Louie Prima in 1937. The version in this video was most likely performed by Benny Goodman and his orchestra. Flappers danced to a musical genre known as the "Charleston" in the 1920s.

  • Comment removed

  • THIS was a FANTASTIC showstopper! Should have been MORE applause, so what if the music is ca. 38, it was GREAT.

  • Sorry..but this wasn't anything Flapper-esque. Just because you're wearing the clothes doesn't mean it works. Look at the real women who danced this, both black and white. Swing dance was liberation for America at that time, you gotta know the history of things before you try to make it your own. This is more insulting than anything.. You guys still did well dancing though...just not as flappers.

  • If grandma was a pole dancer. What am I saying, these days grandma IS a pole dancer.

  • I really liked it! Phenomenal job :D

  • What is the song that they are danceing to everyone keep saying when the song was done but not the name what is the name of the song

  • whats the name of the song there dancing too?

  • Comment removed

  • It is a fun video and the dancers look like they are having a good time.

It is not an historical or cultural event I am guessing. so the fact that it is not giving any real impression of the Flappers is okay, It had a tacky thing going on that was part of the show, maybe for some of the men, but It would not have suffered from losing the, "spank," move at the end.

  • Wrong music, wrong dress lengths

  • This is nothing at all like flappers. The music is from the 1940s for christ's sake.

  • pretty awesome, wish i was thin enough and fit enough to do that... and who cares if ther not exactly like flappers, they tried pretty damn hard, so stop slaggin em off! they did a really gd job considering they didnt seem to fit every1 else ideas of flappers, but o well grow up and move on

  • Como se llama la cancion plz

  • What has people want to comment on what they didn't see rather than what they saw. Anyway, what I saw brought my pulse up and charged my day with energy, FUN

  • Sorry i dont like this, is a very bad copy of the Flapper girls...the girls of the video dont have any class

  • they all need a good salad-tossing.

  • Comment removed

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @Crissyisnumberone Sing Sing Sing (with a swing). I love it! :)

  • at some points they were kinda off no offense

  • faaaaail.

  • if you can´t do it right don´t do it at all, this is crap!

  • That was fantastic

  • high energy sexy babes! Love it! They have the same fringe dresses as on my real dancing flapper vid called the SOPHOMORE! Im impressed! Check it out! You babes are HOT!!

  • i love this!

  • Oh my gosh. So COOL. :)

  • Not to mention Sing Sing became popular in the 40's and was recorded by Benny Goodman (it was COMPOSED by Louis Prima) so this isn't really old-time flapper music. Still, it's really cute. Put them in swing dresses and then we can have a ball.

  • hehe...Flappers Gone Wild

  • The name of the song is sing sing sing by benny goodman!

  • very entertaining! of course its not completely true to 20's style of dance or wardrobe, but its definitely cute!

  • You guys are fantastic! You look like you're having a blast!

  • AWESOME PERFORMANCE!! I LOVED IT! what is the name of that song?

  • the name of the very famous song is "Sing, Sing, Sing (With A Swing)". Benny Goodman's version is the one you probably recognize- he basically played it at every gig and made it famous

  • GREAT!!!!

  • DAT WAZ GUD AND I DONT CARE WAT THESE HATERZ R SAYING CUZ JUZ FREAKIN RIPPED....AINT LIKE DIZ WAZ 4 A SERIOUS THING IT WAZ 4 FUN....DONT HATE ON THESE WOMAN,...2 least they got ^ there AND DID SOMETHING AND IT LOOKED PRETTY DARN GUD...Y THEY WERE THE BEE'S KNEES AND THEY HAD A GUD TIME AND THE PPL LIKED IT AND DATZ ALL THAT MATTERZ UNLEZZ U CAN GET UP THERE AND DO SOMETHING BETTER I SUGGEST ALL YALL HATERZ JUST SHUT UP...IF U AINT GOT NOTHING NICE 2 SAY DONT BOTHER SAYING IT @ ALL U FLAT TIRES.

  • and the scary thing is that our family has a picture of our great grandma as a "flapper" ... not really odd unless you consider our family is from the Meskwaki Nation in Iowa ... and even as far back as the 20's ... we had adapted

  • @soxmonki you go gramma!!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful women, great dresses and an amazing performance!

  • eso es un verdadero bar!

  • yeah I felt the same way- it might not be historically accurate- but these ladies have my heart pumping and my blood pressure up- and I believe the 'experts' who are so critical if they had been there for the live show would have had a very fun time!

  • Funny how everyone is Complaining about this video

IT IS ENTERTAINMENT people, nothing more

    Get over it

PS...I had not idea I there were so many EXPERTS on the 20's still alive.

~Just a fan of the 20's, Dance, & entertainment who doesnt care how off it is.

  • Hey, authentic or not my beer and I could get used to this. :)

  • Not period music or dance, sorry!

  • HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! This is SWING MUSIC NOT FLAPPER! The costumes r wrong. the music is wrong. The steps r ALL wrong!!! FLAPPER IS NOTHING LIKE THIS...

  • Guys chill out. I don't think anybody said they were trying to be authentic, they're just for entertainment--clearly, they're putting a lot more energy into shaking their shit than trying to stay together, footwork, etc. It's about T&A. Their skirts are too short, EVEN for a flapper, &their dresses flaunt rather than minimize their curves, which was the goal of a flapper--to look lanky, boyish, wanton, etc. Furthermore, people Chas. to "In the Mood," too, which is also not 20's but it works!

  • What the heck is this? I look up flapper dance and get this video of chicks who aren't even dancing the Charelston..?

Y'all need to work on video titling, because there is NO WAY you thought this was a dance any flapper would do EVER.

  • Wrong music for flappers AND these gals wouldn't know the Charleston if it hit them in the arse! Try googling "Charleston demonstration: Hep Cats" to see how it's done (b contemporar youngsters at that!

  • exactly! wrong music and wrong style of dancing! @bigbuffler

  • Flappers and Benny Goodman should never be put together!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah wrong song from the era and also they messed up by having the wrong hair do. They should have tried harder by matching completely, It's cool but ehh whatever <3

  • this isn't charleston...? they arent flapper girls, they're just wearing flapper dresses....

  • ye thats what i like wheres my ford roadster with da side runners im going to wrer this is these brods can play with my hardware eny time eny were haha

  • Hello

I have Question. What is this for a version? Thank You

  • i dislike the"seductive"facial expressions, just makes it look like a bunch of strippers were asked to do a 20's style dance. what i love about watching girls do this type of dance is the energy, a good flapper is having a blast when she is danging, she smiles and makes all sorts of funny faces because of how much energy shes putting into what she is doing, without that its just some girls dancing. they did a horrible job and i HATE there retarded slutty facial expressions

  • @rthomas003 i agree

  • @rthomas003 i agree, and also the tanned skin, long bleached hair, bleh, not flapper-like at all.

  • @rthomas003 'just makes it look like a bunch of strippers were asked to do a 20's style dance'

    yeah...that's probably what happened... ; D

  • Comment removed

  • @rthomas003

I agree. it is also great to watch the real thing because Flappers and their dances were about a newly found freedom for women. you cannot really say that about this kind of dancing, I mean, strip-tease must go back pretty far. lol

    addie

  • @rthomas003

This was FANTASTIC, a show stopper.

the 20's were debaucherous, you act like the people were 'good' in the 20's.

  • @rthomas003 Ugh. The inappropriate hair is killing me too. Buy a damned bob wig. Geez...what a mess!

  • wrong song for the era...hair ...moves ...all wrong ...

  • completely irrelevant if this is pure flapper dancing, the energy in the performance is electric, well done!

  • Good job ladies. Had to watch it four times, once for each gal.

  • what's thi song?

  • sing sing sing by benny goodman ;)

  • SENSATIONAL!!! They had me watching every second! :o)

  • Comment removed

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • Wrong decade ladies ...wrong outfits...oh man ...this is a disgrace. Strippers..that's all they are....

  • Wrong wrong wrong...all wrong. Wrong hair ..wrong moves...just wrong. Nothing erks me more when these revival movements over do everything. Heck..half the people who go to these things dress up like they are going to so costume party. Back then..sure people dressed up but they didn't over do it and look like clowns.

  • LOL Sensible point- It's dreadful isn't it? The Flappers would be in hysterics! All sooooo wrong!

    Espero haberte ayudado;

    besos,

    Adrià.

    =)

  • Esta es la famosa versión de Glenn Miller, inconfundible el ritmo, compás y combinación de su orquestra.

  • sure, it's sexy and all, but it ain't no charleston. More like modern stripper-type dancing I'd say. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just don't say it's bloody charleston. 20's inspired at most...

  • cool!

  • I LOVE This Dance I Hope That One Day I Know dance As they

  • yay! chips ahoy!

  • Yeah, everything is wrong....but they sure are amazing! That's the best of LA for ya!

  • This is no way 'flapper' dancing, the hair is wrong and the moves are wrong, heck even the music is from the wrong era.. 1938!!

  • @xDeepPurpleDreamx You're absolutely right! These girls can't even dance...this is embarrassing.

  • @xDeepPurpleDreamx

You are correct. Song is "Sing Sing Sing" composed by Louie Prima in 1937. I believe Benny Goodman, the version is this video, covered it in 1938.

  • @xDeepPurpleDreamx and i thought i was the only one who knew that!

  • anyone notice the similairities to cheerleaders?

  • I have no idea who these ladies are- but they are great! oooo LA LA!

    Talented, sexy, delectable!

Anybody know who they are ????

  • Yes!

  • much much sexier than those whore pussycat dolls crap

  • I just wanted to say that the girls are super sexy, looking having fun and that I suppose there is nothing here about artistic perfection. NOW, IF YOU DO A VIDEO WITH YOUR FRIENDS IT WOULD BE SUPERCOOL AND I' LL BE YOUR N°1 FAN.

  • i know! the hair is wrong, the music is wrong, the moves are wrong, and the makeup is wrong too! real flappers didnt wear gloves!

  • Eeek. This is all wrong.

  • You're not nasty or rude. You're RIGHT, I noticed everything you say. and i don't like people who make a mix os eras.

  • I suggest to you all to do the same yourself and to film it to show us how you do. So you will be able to learn properly to these girls what they have to do.

Critic is easy but art is difficult

  • OMG! In my studio's dance show we do the charleston and it is way better! This is an insult to the Charleston and Dance alike! We also do swing and this is our swing song!

  • Amen to that lol. This is no way a charleston! Outfits, dance and music= all wrong! x

  • You are soooo right! LOL! SSOOOOOOOO wrong.

  • lmao they could have done their homework before designing the routine! Insult to charleston- like you said, well put. I to like to charleston, and this is nothing like the real thing, it's a bit embarrassing actually hahahahaha! x

  • I do not associate this dance at all with the 20s! The song is from 1938 (sing sing sing by Benny Goodman) and the women look, as if they are already got drunk! One could have found out more about the 20s!

  • oh god, please shut the hell up

  • agreed.

  • Does anyone know the name of the music they're dancing to?? I know the song well but have no idea what it's called or who it's by!
