  • 0.25 roasted stiffy

  • Who one? I can't find part 5 for any iron chef episode. If it's a copyright issue then I understand but I really want to know.

  • i want that roast piglet!!!!!!

  • I once told my girlfriend for my last meal it would be Kobe's chestnut battle dishes but now I might want Chen's piglet dishes.

  • When you say that the roasted piglet is similar to Indonesian food, the only thing similar is that banana leaf under the beautiful looking roasted pork. XD

  • @EmbahMabok i think he means roasting a pig on a stick rotisserie w/ the apple in the mouth

  • @EmbahMabok

    and the bananas

  • Chen: "I had willpower today"

Yep. He totally rolled a 20 on a Will-Save check with a DR of 40!

  • I'm drooling non-stop, someone seal up my mouth!

  • Chinese food is the best on the world, that it !

  • The challenger keeps tasting things and then putting the tasting ladle back into the pot. Don't like.

  • @monkfan72 All the iron chef do it

  • @lonegrim hahaha...I didn't realize until later my favorite Iron Chef does it. :s

  • @monkfan72 tasting and sticking the spoons and ladles back in food, newsflash, watch the iron chefs carefully. They do it too. It makes you think about what goes on in the kitchen where the diners can't see.

  • @willowsprite wouldnt the heat kill any germs anyway?

  • @mikey380sx I wasn't complaining, just pointing out that the challenger isn't the only who does it. Behind the doors of restaurant kitchens, how do you know they put things back on the grill to kill germs? EG, a shrimp from a finished dish being served up on a plate drops on the cutting board that has been used for cutting up raw meat. the chef might reheat that morsel to put it back, throw it out (unlikely if the menu says a specific number of shrimp )or dump it back into the plate.

  • @willowsprite I wasn't having a go at you man....more of a question than a statement haha. I always was under that impression. But as you said in regards to the raw meat and the board issue well that is a certain possibility. I'd hope any decent chef would know the basics in food hygiene, it's there ass on the line if someone gets food poisoning!

  • @monkfan72 What's wrong with it. I think it's all mental. I'd be surprised if anyone could actually tell teh difference between food that was tasted with a tasting spoon or not. In the same way I'd be surprised if anyone got sick any more or less by food that wasn't tasted with a tasting spoon. It's like kissing someone.

  • @chefkoo It's actually unhygienic.. It's like going to a restaurant and having the chef spit in your food.

  • @monkfan72 Just like kissing someone right? I really think it's a mental thing. Contamination from the mouth is no different than the contamination from dead skin cells falling off of your body when you lean over something to smell it. There's bacteria flying out of your mouth when you breath. Don't get the wrong idea, if someone spit in my food I'd clock em right in the head. But to me it's a matter of respect and not so much hygene.

  • all the food looks great i love pork. i would love tot taste the dishes

  • The only reason I refuse to go vegan is because of pork.

    mmmmmmmm

  • fuck you its not indonesian roast piglets is philippines!! indonesian dont eat pork!! they are islamic country!!!

  • chens dishes look so damn good

  • LOL Chen gettin fresh with the hot lady I didn't know he was so sassy.... cept I dunno if I'd like me tanning to be compared with a whole roast piglet =\

  • I didn't watch the previous few parts, there seemed to be some sort of story behind this episode? Were the iron chefs having a losing streak or something?

  • Yes, Morimoto, Chen and Sakai each had lost their last two battles, which created the storyline that Kaga had "lost face."

    That's the story, at least.

  • Although piglet dont hav lots of meat, but the meat is tender and juicy.. yummy =)

  • i wonder how much these dishes would cost in a restaurant

  • 1 arm, 1 leg, and 1 left nut

Piglet like that isn't used in everyday cooking. It's pretty expensive.

  • I now proclaim you Iron Chef Microwave!

  • Iron Chef Microwave? Then i declare myself Iron Chef Cheap Improvisation.

  • they had me at the first 10 seconds....

  • oooh looks yummy

  • my mouth is just watering looking at all these dishes

  • Chen is totally adorable.

  • the whole roasted piglet, mr. chen's cooking. that's what we call "LECHON" here in the philippines. with a sauce made of pig's ground liver.

  • Lechon ftw!

  • This is making me hungry. XD I envy those people getting to taste everything!

  • Kanda-san is bad gangsta.LOL challenger wait for a nod from him to say yes he can win.

  • chen really go all out!

  • I think "Battle Lobster" was at least one.
