At the time of her first audition much was being made in the media about her learning disabilities. I'm not even sure if that was true but certainly, what ever it was about is something she overcame. She's just brilliant and brave and sincerely deserves this wonderful new life.

That was smth EXTREMELY BREETHTAKING!!! A sand story about war, about a tragedy. And the girl herself was like a hero from "Matrix" - so charismatic and young! And by the way - beautiful. She was nice looking when she was younger and now. She has a very beautiful voice. I just saw the video 2 nights ago for the first time. Probably it's true. But I heard she was in the hospital after the final competition and she might not sing anymore at a large audience.
So, I feel pity for her because she likes singing. And also I thought I can't listen to her beautiful voice. Actually, many reporters followed her all the time and she tossed into the confusion. I wanted her to give the quite time a little while again.. But she can sing again it is very nice... I am also happy to see her again through Youtube .

What many of the knockers are missing, and I did myself at first, is that whether she's the best singer in the world - or not - it doesn't matter. The important thing is that she's inspired and loved by so many people in whose lives she's made a real difference. Folks, re-watch the decision video. Just before the announcement of the winner, you can see her mouth the word diversity (a prayer?). I think her expression after their name was announced was one of total relief and her congratulatory remarks sincere.
I agree, and I also think that she was preparing herself for Diversity to win; so as not to be totally shocked and heartbroken if (and when) she didn't. She was afraid to get her hopes up, and that proved to be the right thing to do.
So if there are millions like her around the world you show me where they are. Her 'humble' speech after coming second was insincere, she expected to win & was destroyed by the result which is why she ran screaming down the corridoors of her hotel saying 'I hate this show' & spent 24 hours crying....she should never have been allowed to sing in the final as she was cracking up under the pressure - & now look where her expectations have got her - in a psychiatric hospital, no surprises there then...but it could & SHOULD have been prevented by pulling her out of the show.

I have just learned that Susan was admitted to hospital,due to the shock of losing. She was made believe she will win and was overwhelmed by the unexpected media interest as well as sudden emergence of a huge fan-club. I hope she will recover. Seems to me by all the videos I have seen from her past up to now she is a very nice person and everybody has always liked her. I am surprised that she hasn't dated. She was nice looking when she was younger and now. She has a very beautiful voice. I just saw the video 2 nights ago for the first time. Definitly the biggest surprise for everyone there and watching. That was soo amazing. Never seen so many people perk up in Awe so fast in my life lol. She is a wonderful person.

Susan has lost first place, but she has her dream of being as good - but she is better - than Elaine Paige. Her voice is something that you have to search the world for. We have a role model for "keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground" rather than stars that are air-heads. Thank you all the young folks that love Susan for the talented person she is. Missing as many shows on the tour as she has made appearances...screaming from her hotel window for her wretched cat Pebbles...having diva tantrums already!
Poor old girl would have been better off singing at her local pub for a shandy, at least it wouldn't cause her to have endless nervous breakdowns.

I sincerely hope that the media will cease making an issue of her 'alledged' learnining difficulties and stop portraying her as if she is a mad woman! Michiko1500, how can you feel pity for her. She said she was lonely before and now has a lot of friends, didn't have a job, was living alone with her cat Pebbles. Now she has an exciting career and also has people who are tuned in to how some of the world can be mean to people like her, and they are going to help her manage those problems. Nobody's life if perfect, but this is what Susan wants, and I am so happy to see her dream come true and hear her beautiful voice w/ the world.

Probably it's true. But I heard she was in the hospital after the final competition and she might not sing anymore at a large audience.
So, I feel pity for her because she likes singing. And also I thought I can't listen to her beautiful voice. Actually, many reporters followed her all the time and she tossed into the confusion. I wanted her to give the quite time a little while again.. But she can sing again it is very nice... I am also happy to see her again through Youtube .

Her 'humble' speech after coming second was insincere, she expected to win & was destroyed by the result which is why she ran screaming down the corridoors of her hotel saying 'I hate this show' & spent 24 hours crying....she should never have been allowed to sing in the final as she was cracking up under the pressure - & now look where her expectations have got her - in a psychiatric hospital, no surprises there then...but it could & SHOULD have been prevented by pulling her out of the show.

I have just learned that Susan was admitted to hospital,due to the shock of losing. She was made believe she will win and was overwhelmed by the unexpected media interest as well as sudden emergence of a huge fan-club. I hope she will recover. She was just a puppet in the hands of media/entertainment who gave her illusion she was godlike. I liked her first audition and thought she deserved to get in, but I think everything got out of hand and she was overated and that didn't do her any good on the show. But still, i think on the show she wasn't soooo good, a few moments she was off tune and squicky. still, she's good but overated. I think Diversity, Susan or Shaheen or even Aidan Davis (who didn't have a good night a the final) were all possible winners and diserved it, all 4

Her parents moved to Scotland before she was born, but they were originally from Ireland.

In times like today, where we all are looking for someone or something to get us through the day, Susan delivers. Thank you sweetheart, every time I listen to the YouTube video of "I Dreamed A Dream", I get all misty eyed. Fat ugly bad tempered cow. She's had two public tantrums recently. Don't be duped, this is nothing new for this ugly creature. Apparently her neighbours from her home town of Blackburn refer to her as "Rambo" because of her known bad temper. No wonder she's a virgin. Mean :) Mean you say :( Well for starters she's definitely not even close to the Tom Jones kind of voice that we expect from Welsh people and I can't understand how a woman who is 12 years younger than me can look about 20 yrs older. Doesn't she have any pride in her appearance or is that just the way coal-miners daughter's look nowadays ? And as for 2-3 million in record sales ;) Yea maybe but they'll forget about her real fast and then you'll find them in the bin of the Salvo's charities.

Noobensteim is 100% right.. Fortunately in Manchester where i live women really takecare of themselfs.. But in London things are very very different. Haters that judge external appearance and not voice and character.. i have one thing for u.. One day sooner or later, u will be her age.. and then we will see how it feels to be hated cause u look "old"
