  • I love this video and Lisa Gerrard's song. Thank you for your wonderful artistic representation.

  • Przy tym utworze Dusza unosi się lekko ponad Ziemię. Hipnityzujące i poruszające piękno.

  • ale utwór!!!! super nastrojowy Lisa jest The Best

  • i saw her live perfoming and i felt deep peace in my heart closing my eye´s and listening to it

    great up *thx

  • I see joy on their faces. Divinity and sexuality are one. The universe is expressing itself. Eden is.

  • I don't know if I get it - but I enjoyed it.

  • this is one of the most astonishing, beautiful videaos I ever saw. Is there any possibility to send me a copy (becauw youtube is blocking a download)?

  • great video

  • in momix bothanica show this is the mirror dance soundtrack!!!!!!

  • MILF!

  • . . . I always come back to this. You've made these lovely women timeless, and captured their beauty in such a haunting and ethereal way.

  • Just last night watched the Momix show in Athens and still can't believe what I saw...extraordinary dancing, music, illusions... My sincere congrats for the video that suits to the song ideally...so erotic - seductive - melangholic but stimulating at the same time.

  • Good video. I wonder if this is a feminist movement or some other statement that is being made. I love Lisa Gerrard she is phenomenal.

  • wow..

wonderful video to the amazing voice of Lisa Gerrard.

    thank you...

  • absolute favourite!

  • this reminds me of "Tom McRae – You Cut Her Hair"

  • 15 people hate this music!?!?!?! O.o 15 people doesn't know music.Im a big Metal fan and i listen to this so thats saying something!

  • This is the perfect visual for the song, it matches perfectly, smoothly, erotically, and just good job (:

  • kocham

  • holy cow.....

  • This is surreal at the most epic level.

  • ive heard ALOT of music, but i think this is my favorite song

  • Gorgeous! Very touching.

  • This is so beautiful and soothing....

  • depressing but real.

  • since a few month must be the users on the german youtube 18 years old to see this clip.

you can see more nude persons on tv

    one of lisas best....

  • Where did you get this footage? I absolutely love it and it fits so well with lisa's god-like voice

  • A lot of Lisa Gerrard/Dead Can Dance sound very somber in nature though they are far from it. I.e. "The Summoning of The Muse" is a good example. This is a totally different song but the mood is very fitting.

  • Probably my all time favorite!!!

  • Music is the most beautiful gift which people received from God. Nothing more affects our consciousness. The music satisfies our invisible need and touch emotionally. It's an extraordinary poignancy.

  • Admirable, powerful, ecstatic! The voice, the music, the video...

  • what a beautiful homage to sensuality and female beauty, and lisa gerrard is simply to die for. bravo!

  • how do we unflag this video .. does the original flagger have to unflag it? this is a ruckus

  • Powerful.

  • This is amazing. Lisa Gerrard is best in the World.

  • This is amazing, i cant stop watching it. Life is so ephemeral, one day we are alive, beautiful, the other we are not here anymore. All this woman.. all gone.. in the end what's really matters?? will someone see our videos 80 years after our passage or will we be completely forgotten? i fell... sensuous but very small when i see this

  • mesmerizing, erotic.. inviting.. but for some reason i can't stop thinking that all the women in this video are dead... so ephemeral..

in the end all that matters is how we dance through life...

  • @Necropsiq

Beautiful words you said. And I agree.

  • @Necropsiq Must be the black and white atmosphere. Dancing through life as the only thing that matters...hmm seems a reminiscence of a sanyassin life with Osho.

  • @Necropsiq i couldnt agree MORE!

  • @Necropsiq they are not dead, they have just transformed, ;o)

  • @Necropsiq So the dancers are not in physical reality, but like ourselves, when we pass over we continue to exist :D

  • ...Commented on this so many times, I just think the whole entity works perfectly. Bliss.

  • The voice of Lisa Gerrard is the most beautifuyl part of this video. And shes still good lookin. In the 80's videos shes smokin'!

  • Maybe I'm the only one -- The commercial cheezy sexploitation Burlesque just seems to jar with the superlative trancy-ballad space-opera thaing of Gerrard's song, with its allusion of some sacred, special moment of transcendental beauty.

  • yeah your the only one - so dont watch!!

  • why on earth is that video flagged?

    it s so beautifull!!!!

  • This video seriously needs to be un-flagged.

  • very mesmerizing great job thanks

  • the spirit of dancing!! erotic extasis!!!

  • The first time I 've heard this song I've felt something very sensous and divine in the same time, as a devotional dance, as the one of Salome...

This video amazed me! It is what I wish to see...Great job!

    Thanks!

  • haunting

  • it is amazing video! it's so clashes with the song it just proves its point..

  • HOW can this piece be marked as not allowed for childs???? wheres the porn or erotic things?

I would like to public this vid in facebook :(

    its hella cool! gratz!

  • Perfect, amazing and beautiful. This song sends my mind wandering into each happiness possible - bravo - you have truly succeeded in making a masterpiece!

  • this reminds me of the show carnivale that use to play on hbo - lisa gerrard is excellence

  • lovely blues...congratz Liza

  • makes me wonder who these woman are, what happened to them... something haunting about this video...

  • A truly unique song, an unraveling world of magic and feelings... a sense of inner heaven..

  • Excellent! Congratulations!

  • Excellent composition, my hat is off to you.

  • magnificent audio-video combination, true masterpiece. 5*****

  • Magnificent song+video combo.

  • ...Who needs god when you already have beauty pouring out of the only gods in this world, humans. This music and video absolutely encapsulates the struggle between lust, love, reality and misunderstanding. It's epoch making.

  • @Problembeing Epic comment.

  • @PhattyMo I thought I was being rather understated :P Haha

  • @Problembeing you are right WE ARE ALL GODS, awakening

  • @Problembeing haha... funny.

  • Just..... <3

  • testing

  • Part I: Why am I laughing? Women for sure are strange and incredibly interesting creatures. Is this about objectification? We all are objectified, even by God.OR..Is this about seduction? Some of these women appear to enjoy what is is they are doing.

  • get your head out of you arse - people like you make doctor phil or oprah rich

  • Part II: Men are so easily manipulated especially by God's finest creation WOMAN lol! MY mind wonders to one who has so completely seduced me, mind body and soul and done so entirely with her clothes on. Truly amazing, the video, the music but most of all her I see with my minds eye. I have often believed one should never go down without at least the appearance of a fight. Helplessly lost! Hopelessly in love!

    Empty without! Pardon my foolishness!

  • Comment removed

  • I think so but...Not sure how old I really am lol!

  • love your comment, very deep and for me... optimistic as beauty of love is not a lost concept to all men as I can see..

  • This is perhaps one of the most emotionally effective video/songs I have ever had the pleasure of watching and listening to. The image at 3:00 is particularly haunting, these faceless abstractions staring into an existential reality. I cannot help but see the latent and hidden pain in these women, the pain that we all experience in being objectified, men or women. This is a very telling story of the pain involved with infidelity both of the soul and the flesh.

  • I could not agree more. This is THE definitive video on Youtube. I never ceases to have a profound effect on both myself and those that I show it to. It commands complete respect and a silence descends... It really has magick that touches you.

  • Still can't stop watching and listening... If there was ever a soundtrack for pure perfection, this is it.

  • STUNNING! ABSOLUTELY MESMERIZING!

  • a seriously intelligent piece of work. a pleasure to watch.refreshing compared to the rubbish that accompanies the vast majority of music videos.

  • ...I can't tell you how absolutely perfect this video is for this song. Haunting beauty... *****

  • This is well put together. 5 Stars..

The art of the female body, is unto

    itself, sacred...

  • well said and we do terribly by profaning it with the cancer of porn. It is perfection that amazes the soul perpetually

  • Very lovely, and very well done.

  • and of course i love lisa gerrard and dead can dance:):)

  • Personally, I think the human body is beautiful. I feel sorry for those who find it disgusting.

  • displaying it in public? than you must close your eyes, but rather in summer and on the beaches:D

the natur give us this body, it isn't disgusting. these girls are natural, beautiful, they don't have anorexia or bulimia. and what we can watch in the tv, that is more disgustinger, when we want to find something disgusting :):)

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • Goood! I'll never get enough of this video. Such beatiful, fleshy girls, dancing a beautiful and sexy song. Lisa Gerrard RULES!!!

  • i like cake

  • and frosting!

  • ...Did you put the video together or is this the official video? Whatever the case, its perfect! Thanks for posting, this is so very very special.

  • Awesome. She'sfound spirituality on "burlesque".

  • Lisa Gerrard is a Goddess

  • "My precious love can only come from above. In unity is borne a kiss of dignity. My precious love will only come from above." are the only lyrics (except for "precious" being whispered later in the song); all the voice work after the first 3 verses is in a "language" Lisa Gerrard created. She talks about it in her documentary: Lisa Gerrard: Sanctuary. I believe she also talks about her "language" in the extras on the Gladiator DVD.

  • That's right. In the 'Towards the Within' Dead Can Dance documentary, she talks about how she sings phonetically and creates her own language this way as she feels words constrict her meaning and become a barrier to her expression. I feel this exercise opens an infinite language and one that can understood by many if not all.

  • i read somewhere that she calls this langage "hopelandic",which seems right to to me

  • I got most of the lyrics figured out by myself, but the rest was vague. I don't know if anybody is willing to help me.

This track is delusional, it keeps u illusionary for a little time after u listen to it, but of course ull listen to it once more.

    Love.

  • As a multidimensional humanbeen for sure someone else is with you, and must be an incredible creature or person, above of at least a lot of mundane things. I believe some how we all are going up, its just a matter of choice, a matter of love for what we want, what we are looking for.

I hope the light someday will shine in every part of this world.

If you are Lisa its amazing how beatifull you are.

  • ...Yup it is. Phenomenal.

  • Is this REALLY her???

  • who? lisa, no.

  • This is AMAZING!!!!!!! I've never heard Lisa Gerrard like this before! I am falling in love.

  • Burlesque with the extraordinary voice of Lisa Gerrard... no words to describe it. Magic, pure magic...

  • Wow, this video/music combination almost left me in a trance! Amazing!

And the first woman has me completely seduced. She has something that many modern women don't have, but I not know what it is. Perhaps the fact that it is so 'natural'.

Also a very odd idea that they are all either very old or that they have passed away.

This video not only weaves space and time, it transcends it!

  • I have a video of my Artwork here, which is accompanied by Hans Zimmer's 'Now we are free' sung by Lisa Gerrard. It's truly beautiful music -- just check my video or search 'original canvas art online' and you will find it.

  • ' Each thought wants to be transmitted. '

  • pretty much..this song could be played to any

slow moving video and it would be amazing..as

amazing as your mind makes it. because without

any sort of predisposition your mind makes it the best for "you". everyone sees the same thing differently!

  • Wow, what an interesting mix of song and vid! I think the vid is actually a strange fit to the song. It helps to show that extreme spiritual rapture through dance. A specific fearlessness (taking clothes off). On the flip it could also show trying to find divine love in all the wrong places. Lot's of interpretations and my brain is fed. Thank you for the vid! :)

  • WOW ..you're really insane!!! :p

  • Um....thanks?

I agree with your other comment btw. Everyone will see something different.

  • I Think this is so disturbing...

    in a sense I can`t discribe....

    but still a thrill..

    and a great song..

  • disturbing yes!! lol

    like the carnivale series.

this video reminds me of the just now mentioned show that i loved that no longer is being made.

    -crap shux damnit!

  • its a dreamlike video...good ideea

  • such a great singer, i've got chills...

  • That voice....oh my god!!! she has an angel voice....

  • great video, the combination works beautifully, good editing result

  • this is extraordinarily awesome.

  • love both, song and video too

  • ps. This is from her new album The Silver Tree, I just bought it from itunes - beautiful.

  • Love Lisa Gerrard and her work with Dead Can Dance.

  • Antique female stripteasers for a song like Space Weaver?. I mean, it just doesn't add up to me. Senseless. Of course the song, as a piece of art that it is, has many interpretations, but this one's odd.

  • now nagg-er-ual, you don't make sense

  • i actually thought so too ...

  • i actually thought so too ' naggual '

  • I agree with "naggual". What I get from this song definitely don't match with old whores.

  • fabulous music, must find more of this singer!

  • Love the song. Just curious, what is the name of the two films?

  • please someone answer the question at hand!

  • Superbe! I am thrilled...

  • jeez, thats some good looking broad.

  • that first woman seduces me - an act of the devil if you will - per se

  • whomever thumbed this comment down gets one finger in the air since no response was given

  • what an out of body experience, i luv it

  • Rowsby ur gay!!

  • this song is too beautifull to be true...spiritual rapture performance. No Words to describe such amazing feeling, nor colours to paint such amazing sensation listening such delight.

  • komah11, I don't think there's a better way of saying it than you did. Wow. It's true.

  • The message is clear: They are gaudily painted, empty souls, simply paid to perform acts of ritualized sensuality. There is no true, timeless love to be found here. Only emptiness.

  • ......wow!

  • gerrard: de las mejores voces que evocan nostalgia del instinto, tentacion y deseo por las mujeres, excellente combinacion

  • amazing, unspeakably breathtaking athmosphere

  • great!

I heard this song live in London last year!

amazing..my favorite song from Lisas last record...

  • What I would give to see and hear her live!

  • seems like she enjoyed listening to portishead...still, real beauty, her voice almost makes me cry.

  • she was around long before portishead....

  • her vocal ability is out of this world plus she has made her own language, that makes her superb in it's full definition. :))) agree with you here, she has been around much longer than Porishead.

  • I think Portishead took a few cues from her.

  • la expresion no es del vaile ni de la letra , si no de las miradas y de los quejidos . esperavan ver a zatanas comiendo angeles?

pd. es mi humilde opinion claro.

  • :) exactamente! sublime..

ps: me gusta tu nombre :-D que tal el mio?

  • sorry but for nice music like these video is too lame

  • I feel the director wanted to express the song as something deep, and without definition. The dancer's are not there to explain something - that would be to easy. The dancer's are portraying beauty, vulnerability and sexuality without remorse. It's really pretty deep. Drink a few shots before watching it.

  • Great video. I have no objection to the burlesque dancer, but what does it have to do with the song?

  • music sets a cool, creepy tone to the burlesque dancers, i think. eery. kinda disturbing...do you think so?

  • True, it does gives it a David Lynch quality. Eery, dark and surreal. I keep waiting for that midget from Twin Peaks to step out from behind the curtain.

  • Dita von Teese would go well with this...especially with her taste in men ;-D On the other hand, loving Lisa so much, I would not recognize her-maybe at the end? She sounds not only Portishead but also like Tricky and his men...

  • Awesome

  • van Beethoven... VAHNNNN beeto va vahn.....

van b)leonardo... van be nard ee van be leonardooooooo...

    Mon (e) lis(e) a DI noldo Gherardini.

  • "....and at last the devil cried, for he felt goodness from an angels voice."

  • Sucks how goodness can cause such suffering.

No, just kidding, the devil cried because of the shame it felt for evil.

  • HUMAN MYSTİC MUSİC :S
