  • yeah but your not letting your kids handle it are you? I clean my house with bleach too. good cleaner just not good for childeren to handle. Yes they put bleach in pools but you should not get in it right away. the sun usually kills it out and its worthless anyway

  • What is the purpose of this activity? It doesn't seem all that fun or educational...

  • She said "a touch of bleach" not a gallon! A little bleach is not going to hurt the childern. I clean my whole house with bleach, 6 years later, my kids are still alive.

  • leave the bleach out for kids. Not safe. use vineger

  • its natural and gentle. all u gotta do is wash your hands afterwards. nevermind the smell

  • @peppermae1 Some people use bleach in swimming pools...

  • YOU PUT BLEACH IN IT?!they could drink that stuff-you know how kids are

  • ok guys she has a point, some kids esp. toddlers love to play in the water and mommy sometimes need to do something, THIS IS JUST TO KEEP TODDLERS BUSY WHILE MOMMY IS BUSY!. but expext some spilling unless you put them in the bath tub then its no problem. and it is really not weird, toddlers love to play water and of course running around and play still is the best!

  • This stuff is weird to me............... If you can find a kids that wants to sit and squeeze sponges rather than run around and play let me know... Its a proven fact that by 2nd grade you are unable to tell what kids even went to preschool and what kids did not.. What a waste of time. LET THE KIDS PLAY real kids games.

  • @LetMeKnowTruthAlways Well some kids need help with fine motor development and this is a great way to do it, of course theyre going to spill the water big deal

  • @LetMeKnowTruthAlways but obviously not with bleach

  • No way in the world would M kids do this without spilling / drinking the water.... lol.. My daughter also has VERY VERY dry skin and I could imagine this would burn her hands even if it is only a drop.....

  • bleach is in our water supply so we don't die from germs. in case of a national emergency, we are to purify standing water with one drop of bleach for DRINKING!!! one drop of bleach will do nothing to a child's skin. in fact, if you do your research, adding bleach to water for a skin soak will help heal eczema, a common skin condition in children. don't jump to conclusions without doing your research . . .

  • vinegar will make you stink and it sucks as a window cleaner screw vinegar

  • stop being so damn sensitive im sure she only put one drop of bleach. sheesh...

  • @Doggies2625, I wish kids would stop misusing the word gay -___-;

  • As a parent, I would not be sending my child to a day care centre where they use BLEACH on my childs hands. HELLO?!?!?!?! it would burn their delicate skin. why do you have to put anything in the water??

  • Use a bit of vinegar and NOT bleach.

    Also, as much as I love most Montessori activities for preschool/kindergarteners, this one seems pointless.

    I think that you should get like a dog dish that has both the water and food sections, then put water in one of the sections, and have the kids transfer the water from one side to the other, using sponges, now that would actually show some sort of concept.

  • I agree, its just pointless squeezing out, there needs to be a purpose and it needs to be able to be done over and over again and with your way its not something that can be done easily right away, the dog dishes are what we use over here .

  • Thank you for the video! I would not use bleach. It is not good for kids nor the environment. H2O2( peroxide) is better or a healthier alternative. Just a suggestion. :-}

  • tell the kid like what color and waht shap.they leaarn color and shape!! XD

  • an intersting point but rather not to point out these things since he will be learning these concepts from other materials and you might jus be adding too much information for him to hold and this will therefore leading to the child not being interested in it

  • I love it! I usually only use one sponge. I need to think outside of the box more. I like how you did different colors too.

  • Yup ...having a little rag cloth placed on the shelves where there are loads of wet pouring activities should help to clean up spills...Anyway...my kid loves it...he's been playing over and over...again and again

  • it would also probably help the children to see the drips if any they made from not squeezing the sponges that well and providing them with a dry cloth to wipe any spills up so that the activity is also nice and dry for the next child that wishes to use it.

  • GREAT IDEAS. THANKS
