  • This is a demo, not real. Realistic, but not real.

  • Ah... 0:11... como duele eso! jajaja

El Thai es lo mejor del mundo! Wii

  • definitely not a real fight, the ropes round the fists and forearms have been banned for many years. also there would not be any commentator at a real fight. this was just a show

  • looks like the fight out of ong bak

  • it looks like mae mai

  • I as impressed till I realized the moves are way too fancy not to be choreographed.

  • this isnt muay thai this is muay boran you can tell buy the traditional handwraps and the announcer telling the crowd what move they are doing

  • this looks like muay boran?

  • super nice thx

  • Mano, o Muai Thai da Tailândia é realmente violento, não como os daqui.

  • Is the proposit of the figth, its a show no a training.

  • muy bueno... este es como el de la película ong bak o algo así... se ve que tiene menos influencia del boxeo

  • bonita exibihicion.5 estrellas.

  • Upon further analysis, YES, this does seem to be an exhibition fight :)

  • was this an exhibition fight?

  • Hmmmm well guys this isn't really Muay Thai. You see, this martial art is called "Muay Boran", the art in which Muay Thai was based. Both styles are very similar, with only a very few differences in their techniques. The only very big difference is, of course, the rules of the competition. They use a kind of ropes tied to their hands instead of gloves, for example. BTW nice video.

  • This is the TRUE, the REAL MUAY THAI!

  • every job in this planet doesnt has the same interest and difficulty.its the same thing for sports and martial arts.not all sports has same difficulty and not all martial arts are the same.if u compare tkd with mt for example is like comparing porse with datsun toyota.its enormus differences.NOT EVEY MARTIAL ART ARE EQUAL...AS NOT EVERY JOBS ARE EQUAL..of course a person fromhis talents make the difference in his martial art.

  • Carraaaaiii...

  • thats what you call a fight.

  • They are very skilled but this IS a show fight, they do it every night to entertain/educate tourists before the real matches. It's good because it shows lots of moves that most fighters don't bother with. The only time I've ever seen a real fight in Thailand with no gloves was on the Thai/Burma border.

  • wushu is better than muaythai

  • it looks cooler but it's not as practical as muay thai

  • EVERY MARTIAL ART IS EQUAL. Its the person that makes the difference.

  • just so you people that think one martial art beats another...

  • it depends what you mean by "equal". equal in showmanship? how fun they are to participate in? strength of strikes? lethality? number of practitioners? no, martial arts are not all equal, but different arts usually have their own proficiencies

  • you cant say any martial art is better than another. just so you stereotypical guys know.

  • Sure...Do you know the story about the Chinese martial art experts going to Bangkok to teach them fighting...they learned....

  • hahaha lol if its a demo den its pretty fucked up to the person that is gettin the flyin knee to the face haha i pratice a lil bit of muai thai lemme do a flyin knee to ur face i dont give a shit u can call it a demo just lemme do it hahaha

  • just show. in thailand its illegal without gloves

  • that loks like demo fight

    nothing real..

  • yeah

  • Were was this? Lumpinee. I would love to see this style when i am in Thailand. Looks spectacular.

  • im a muay thai practitioner and this is not muay thai its muay boron the movement is very different

  • I just went to Thailand but I did not see muai thai!

    What a pity!

  • muito loco, só pancadaria hauhauahu rox

  • I'm looking for a good muay thai school in NYC, so if anyone knows one, email me plz. peace.

  • The Wat on Crosby St is probably the best in NYC. Georges St Pierre trains Muay Thai there. The instructor is Phil Nurse (former European Champion and UK champ. Great guy.) I've been there for almost 3 months now. Very good conditioning workouts.

  • Nice high kick, with that people you don't wanne mess

  • cool... I love Muay Thai.. looks kinda like a demonstation fight though.. I only say that cause there us usually more Muay Thai locks and knees to the upper leg and ribs.. still and awesome fight though

  • hm what's with the tie?

  • yeah it kind of looks like a demo, if you watch a real muay thai boxing match its hardly like this. Still kool though

  • this is a demonstration fight.

  • It looks a little staged, but muay thai is amazing.

Are they rope fighting? IE: ropes around their fists?

  • If you examine it closely the flashy moves are executed with to much precision by both the giver and reciever. Also there is a lack of follow up in many instances after one fighter is caught off guard. In a real fight that's when they go all out.

  • that was a properly good taditional thai fight, i have seen a lot of fights (largely with westerners, of which i am one) in which it is basically boxing with a few lame kicks, that was very nicely fought, and a good example of Muay Thai, looks like Scorpion with sum of the more memorable kicks, but that would make sense.

  • it's staged.

  • how exactly? and even if it was, which if you know much about fighting, it blatantly was not, what does that make of it anyway? does it detract from the skill? and do thos elook like soft hits to you?

if you will make claims like that, justify them please, before insulting an art form.

  • just my opinion that it's fake. I trained in muay thai for several years and watch real fights from thailand and elsewhere. People who trained in thailand tell me that many fights in thailand are staged for foriengers because real fights don't look as exciting.

  • FUK~ THOSE ARE SOME TUFF SPORTSMEN!

  • if u want to see real action! check out this video!!

    KAOKLAI he is fukin legend!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOtTpO-mops

  • Muay thai is the supreme combat art. Oh? You disagree? FUCK YOU!

  • off the ropes, thats why u should always keep your hands up

  • I think muai thai and grappling/wrestling equals a pretty balanced fighter. I would like to see a TKD + grappling wrestler that would be kind of cool.

  • I want more videos like this

  • Muay thai rules!~ Only fools who want their ass kicked say bad things about it. Let me know if you want some, i'm in Canada.

  • não é tony jaa ¬¬

  • OMG SWEET MAN !!!1

  • That was a staged performance. Not a genuine, full contact fight.

  • muay thai isz muay thai Nothing can b like it and nothing can compare it...Thisz isz Jst a regulur match..Jst imagine a tornament for money

  • not practical cause people dont use knees elbows and round kicks to defend themselves shesh

  • Abflex666 - everything in Thailand is cheap, you don't need to be filthy reach to even buy a prostitute.

But regardless, only the last fight is not staged, unless you actaully watch a tournament.

  • Nice

  • cool. unfortunately, most of it is not very practical.

  • yo nice vdo by da way is muay thai lol yo da guy didnt used tae kwon do move muay thai got that move too

  • Yea like every1 got a daddy that is filthy rich and can afford a ear piece.... WaZabi go ask your dad for some more money... some people need to drink and say stupid stuff... but you are just a stupid spoiled rich kid.

  • lmao ppl seriously didn't know it was a demo? wow i mean there's this lady's voice shouting off the moves they'll do next.... get an ear piece?

  • That was a demo for all the ignorant

  • Really wanted to see a KO but what can I do.

  • Lol...the red guy is using Taekwondo kicks...must be a fake vid

  • err dude ur walking money

  • wtf tkd? come on man just 'cause that's what you usually see doesn't mean it's not in other type of martial arts too

  • any more video of these two guys , what are their name ?

  • Well.

In Thai Boxing the kicks are very similar to TDK. Only thing that differs is the control. Can you see what happens when the kick go through? It doesn't have any control and the fighter goes off balance. That is not TDK =)

  • this is sick martial-art.The ultimate fighting skill for me.

  • looks partly staged ... like WWE. I mean, those are still real kicks and real moves, but you can tell they are holding back on the punches/kicks. And the falls are over played. This was probably more of a show than an actual fight. Nonetheless, muai thai is hot stuff.

  • check out my new video

  • man thats better than american boxing

  • Awesome! Now, that is what I call a fight!

  • traditional muai thai is the shit, just a few can get in to it.....

  • I've found that a blend of Muay Thai kickboxing (for strikes) & Gracie jiu-jitsu (for grappling) to be most effective when within circumstances of self-defense AND sport...

  • to cobyjim.. the legs are a lot stronger than arms.. if you utilize them well its a lot more useful then just fists.

  • The legs actually are stronger, but it doesn't mean that the kicks are (but usually well trained kick is a lot powerful than well trained punch - both powerful enough to do any kind of damage you need).

Legs are mostly more useful because of their longer reach and power - and arms because of their fastness.

By far the most useful is to use them both well *g*

  • this is not a actualy muay thai fight but a exhibition match/demo...just to show off some of the more fancier techniques of thai boxing

  • Martial art from my homeland =0

Muay Thai is all about knees, elbows, kicks and such.

  • i was at lumpinee stadium

  • the mecca of muay thai

  • I love muai thai but i feel that they do seem to concentrate on kicks and knees more than boxing, which i think is a mistake seeing as having good boxing skills could be much more useful. how many fights have you seen where the two guys kick lumps out of eachother round after round, and you could see that they were open for a KO if the person had used their hands more. A great example - Ramon Dekkers, awesome with his hands.nuff said.

  • Which stadium were you at?

  • IF WE WANTED TO SEE A SAFE SPORT ID WATCH GOLF!

    UFC ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • LMAO even golf has a higher risk factor

    Tiger Woods beats Vijay Singh

via KO (falling ball) by 9th Hole

  • holy quacamole! I agree that I probably is mor of a demo, but still looks amazing.

  • I have seen the sites and watched the sport. Resorting to name calling is certainly not a display of ignorance at all. Good way to kill any stereotypes I might have had about your 'sport'.

Good luck with your profession amigo

  • You're right, the name calling was not

not a display of ignorance just one of being

    irrate at your ignorance displayed

    ....?

Whatever you say, man. Just don't misjudge the

sport or judge it based on fighters like

Tank Abbott or... well... Tank Abbott.

  • Majority of today's fighters all have tremendous

class and respect for the rules of the sport

and their opponents. In addition, they have extensive

martial arts backgrounds. Just set aside the skepticism and try to view it with an open mind is

what I'm saying. Here, I'll help you. Watch the

    example.

  • ...and on the more elite level, here's another.

Just trying to help you rethink what I see to

be unfair and flawed misconceptions of a

legitimate form of martial arts tournament.

  • UFC and the like are simply a legalized version of Pit Fighting. Apparently you need some 'educating' if you support that garbage.

  • I fight as a profession, numbnuts. Mixed martial arts

is far safer a sport than even boxing and american

football, involving far fewer injuries and close to

zero deaths in the last two decades. Like I said

go to the recommended sites and you can even look

up mixed martial arts on wikipedia if that doesn't

do it for you. Just don't be an ignorant bastard

by judging it for what its not.

  • P.S. look up Vale Tudo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Pankration, Shooto and catch wrestling as well. Man, I can't believe I have to resort to this to inform your ignorance. I guess there are still some out there who are so unfamiliar with how much the sport of mixed martial arts has evolved throughout the years. A complete mixed martial artist generally

trains in Thai boxing, Wrestling and BJJ which are

    all legitimate martial arts.

  • Far more interesting than that UFC crap that's being passed off as Martial Arts.

  • What??? Hahahaha...lol. Damn you're ignorant aren't

    you? www.sherdog.com, www.ufc.tv, www.pridefc.com,

    www.mmaringreport.com, peep the sights so I don't

have to waste valuable time educating you myself.

  • It's a moves show mannn....not a real fight, u stupid head

  • THAT SHIT IS SO FAKE! holy shit i knewit wasw fake as soon as the guy landed a tornado kikck. think about it.... theres no reff, and they dont have gloves.... they would fe f***in dead if they got hit in the face like that ( or at least wouldnt be able to contuinue the fight

  • wow i never knew mauy thai have this sort of speed in their kicking abilities...very impresive.but the istructor only teach round house and front pushing kick in muay thai......i am a tae kwon do pratitioner.

  • Got to be a demo match

  • yeah brown asian people gets another point of sexiness, god its like everywhere.. in sherdog in this and that site.. its everywhere! its like bashing TKD to pieces of salt rock lava of loving metal popsicle waffle-waffles and a cup of stfu bytch

  • Whee, these guys can take a lot. It almost seems a bit choreographed though, because it is a bit unlikely that an experienced Nak Muay would do the folly of sprinting directly into the other one who then does the Yan Erawan (the knee kick where he bends his whle body). But that looks so damn real, it just has to be. Incredible video. Thank you.

  • crazy moves - i like it!

those guys can take a good knee in the face :)

  • Dedicated to Klitsorass Tarosuwa.

  • fuckin amazing :D

  • wooooooooooow crazy shit

  • OH SHIT, damn those moves were awesome, how they were excused the timing man...they took those hits and were still going. western boxing, a few hits they down. muay thai..they keep going and going and oingn....

  • i filmed this in thailand damn these dudes can take hits
