I just got the 8530 and, what a piece of shit. Light weight, feels cheap. No flash. Takes at LEAST 10 minutes to boot. BrickBreaker is a beeeatch with the new trackpad, display locks up sometimes after hanging up a call (on 2nd phone because I thought that was a problem). Just an all and all disappointment. I think I'm going to transfer back to my 8330 and sell the 8530 on eBay. Junk.

There's nothing to "agree" to. I'm stating issues that I'm experiencing with this phone. I'm on my second phone, and still continue to have problems. Also, when im my office, constant problems with the BES server and the works wireless (ip conflicts) You watch, they will quickly revise either the OS, or the phone. JUNK.

@ReggieMCH get the tour. The only problem reported with that phone is the trackball, which is not much of a problem. So take it back, pay the extra $ and get the good phone!

I will also tell anyone who has the 8530 and is into movies and music...go to Cnet and download Free Studio Manager 4.3.5.72 This will allow you to do stuff that you only dreamed of with movies, video and music for your 8530! Plus it's a free program and does so many other things I used to have 7 or 8 other programs to do.

Hint...the Blackberry reads MP4 video and the program has a converter for MP4 though they say iPhone in the converter the converted video works great on the Curve.

I got the 8530 and since I don't travel outside the US the GSM really isn't that important. I will say however, that the features, menu and a lot of other things about the 8530 I feel are better than other Blackberries.

Bottom line...in my opinion that 8530 TOTALLY ROCKS! How I ever got along without it I am unsure.

Upgrade if you can, just because it doesn't have flash for the camera doesn't make it worse. There are a lot of new features in the 8530 that aren't in the 8330 as opposed to the only thing the older 8330 has that the 8530 doesn't is flash. And yes, it can record video.
