Thanks for telling me! I was hoping to see them live again, and I was there too by the way, not as far over to the right as you, but the show was stunning. The funny thing is I didn't know what any of the tunes were called!!! I love tangerine dream, always have, but I know them more for their film and tv work, like the superior theme for Street Hawk, (very underrated) and for the excellent Firestarter. But their tunes were fantastic, whether i knew them or not!!
This was an amazing show. Im just disapointed i didnt know tangerine dream that well, id only just got into them, but the album i listend to the most was Architecture in motion which is absolutely fantastic in my opinion, but a bit different to this style. This song is now one of my fave songs by them and it would have been nice to know imore of their songs that were played so i could enjoy it to the max...
excuse me, you know TD for architecture in motion !?!? LOL that's funny (in the sense as you said you know fantastic four by the movies never having read a john byrne or a lee/kirby 4th dimension saga .-)
i can see how you found this funny now :). I can say now i have listened to some of their classic albums which i own and they are just mind blowing. Love ultima thule and dream sequence witch is EXTREMLY good, although it is a compilation. Can you recommend any more albums as im aware they have 50+ or somthing rediculous lol.

Good version of Tangram set 1, but the sound in the shed they call the T&C (Oh sorry - The Forum), is appalling. In the balcony it was really booming and sounded over-driven. Could not agree more about the percussion though - give me the black veil across the stage and three guys sat in front of flight cases gently ticking out the sequencer rhythms any day...
Times like this I'm glad I wear proper ear defenders (custom mould) - I was in the balcony and had great sound! Wasn't too loud, too boomy, I enjoyed it. I won't preach but I would highly recommend them to all regular gig goers, until you've tried them you won't understand how much more you get out of a gig, as well as a quiet night's sleep afterwards, no ringing or noise hangover. It improves otherwise debatable sound at gigs, never mind protecting your hearing. And analog synths any time pls!

Could have been a good show from TD, a rehabilitated studio act. Unfortunately over the top drums with all the subtlety of a flying brick spoiled things. Why can't Froese realise that he doesn't need models on stage and he doesn't need somebody banging the crap out of the drums all over the music all night. A stripped down live aproach with just synths and a little guitar here and there would serve him well. He's talented enough to pull it off without the other nonsense.

Totally agree.
Didn't bother with London or Edinburgh as I dislike live percussion and too much guitar in TD's performance these days.
Oh for the Froese/Franke/Schmoelling shows of early 80's I remember so well.
