well, they matured. So their music clearly will mature. They can't stay little kids all their life. They've grown up. And their stuff they put out now is just as good as their first stuff. As you play and write music, you learn and develop more matured songs. That's what's happened.
And for nick above... you nailed that comment so well. I have always loved saves the day. But they are washed up never were rockstars. It is time to grow up and leave the STD behind for what it was. Seems Chris just "can't let go" (pardon the pun). I will never retire their first three albums but I sure as hell won't be buying their new stuff. the golden age is over. Time to move on.

I think this version of Freakish pwns the original recording pretty hard
