I love this set too. A couple of weeks ago I ordered mine and yesterday it arrived home by the morning. The box is huge and so is the model itself.

I started putting together the pieces at the afternoon and it took me 5 hours to do the first booklet. This set comes with two instructions books. Today I continued with the second part and it took another 5 hours to complete the model.

The size is incredible. Now that NASA retired from service all its space shuttles, this set became a "must have

I really like this set. It does make an impressive static display model. I wish the parts bags were numbered. It would really cut down on the time spent searching for pieces.

Yes, this is new, it came out here in the US on July 5th, 2011. The shuttle adventure set looks just like this set, and that's set # 10213, that was released on June 28, 2010, discontinued on April 28th, 2011.
